Here's a what if scenario: if you could kill someone, and you can get away with it, would you do it?

Just imagine that if there were no rules and moral transgressions to be broken, and if you're very angry at someone, or if you have been holding a major long term grudge towards someone, will you do it, if you do not have to answer to anyone? (Well, except to God perhaps, when you die) if yes, who would you do it to and why? How are you going to kill him/her? If no, why not?

I will kill my neighbors one by one . I will silently do it. But I can't do it alone. Hmmm, okay so lets say I can do it alone. What will I do? I will just wear a mask on my face and will be totally act different about myself and when I see them walking outside, very far from our street I will just stab them but wearing gloves, I have to be very careful with the knife . did I really can't do it? Killing do not give you peace of mind. I wish to have a peace of mind instead of killing them, but that will depend on the grudge I feel toward that person, but if I will kill them, it should be hidden.

I wouldn't want to be your next door neighbour.

Oh, seems like you wanna kill a whole family. If you dont mind me asking, why? But its ok if you dont wanna answer it. Im just curious. Human emotions are pretty complex and in my opinion, vengeance knows no bounds, so its pretty normal for people to have thoughts like that when they are really mad. But here's a suggestion: To make it easier for you to kill them, why dont you just burn their house? Just kidding, lol. But it makes sense right? Its less of a hassle, and it can be made to look like an accident as compared to murdering them one by one, hehe.

I mean those matured ones, I don't want to kill the young adult . Burning a house is a good idea, but I make sure that I already transfer to different place and already been out of that neighborhood for a month or two if I will do it....

I can't imagine killing anyone out of anger. First of all, because of God. Second, because when I read about people killing other people, the first thing I think of are the family and friends left behind. If this is about premeditated murder, where you have time to think (and I assume it is, if you can assess whether you have to answer to anyone) I'd think how horrible the children or spouse or parents would feel to lose their loved one. And if they had no one to miss them, I still would think that I wouldn't want someone to decide my life should end even if I were all alone.

Well killing someone is something which is not ok even if the person has done hell lot of wrong to you , because if you kill him you will harm more to yourself , better option is to make life hell of that person , so that he suffers and regret why he did wrong to you. There are better and safe ways to take revenge than killing .

To angelwriter, well killing someone is entirely dependent on the values of the person, if he can stomach it and if he is determined to do it then he will do it, regardless of whether the target will be missed or not. Although if it's done spontaneously like the usual road rage that we hear, i think that would be the lesser of the two evils as compared to premeditated killings.

To grvdubey11, yeah its a much better idea to make that person's life miserable rather than kill him/her. At least you didnt take a life. But thinking about how to execute that plan to make that person miserable is quite hard too. You have to know alot of personal info to be able to 'stalk' that person. Yeah. Im thinking about it right now and its quite hard to come up with an idea, since the goal would be to make that person's life miserable.

NO! i don't have the guts to kill anyone.unless they did really bad that i can't even forgive them, but as of now, even how hard life is,and many misunderstandings are happening,i still don't want to kill anyone!it's all up to God who will know how will our lives will end. if you want me to answer for fun, they i would say,i just would like to kill those people who disrespects me,lol! actually, they are sooo many, hehe. but that was just for fun,my friend! i don't have the conscience to kill them in reality though. i am more of a peacemaker!

Lol, im pretty sure that a great majority of people would not want to kill anyone as much as possible. Its just that they let their rage and vengeance rule over their conscience. As much as possible, lets just leave it to God to do all the punishment. Well, the best way to get back at the people who disrespect you is to humiliate them, either thru words or actions. Make a big fool out of them, lol.

yes, that's a good thing.to leave it all to God,cause we are only mankind, born to make mistakes.we just have to understand each other and talk to make life more worthwhile, but sometimes it's easier to avoid than talk and argue for long.but don't hold grudges,it's not healthy.

Well, if you have a phobia of seeing blood, then i assume you havent donated blood yet, :-). Anyway, its good to know that you arent capable of killing someone.

even if i know i will get away with it,i wouldnt do it anyway.it feels good to kill right there and then but after that if you still have some humanity in you,you would feel guilty and you will spend the entire life thinking about that day.

Ah yeah, the burden on one's conscience after killing someonce can be quite disturbing, granting if the person feels regret for what he has done in the first place. If he doesnt feel guilty, then he wont be bothered at all.

its a NO--I don't have the right to take anybody's life and if ever i will, it would be matter of self defense when he harmed me or anyone from my family Grudge/hatred towards someone does not have to result in violence--a talk will do its just a matter of misunderstanding

Oh, a talk? Well some people just cant be persuaded to stop the harm that they are doing, even if you nicely talk to them, they wont listen and they would even do it more. Such an immature dimwit. So in these cases wherein push comes to shove and all these evil thoughts start to enter a person's head. Anyway, good for you, you are a god-fearing person.

I for one would not be able to do it. just because i might be able to get away with it does not make it right. I would carry the guilt in my heart always. Eventually, it would probably destroy me. The sacrifice is just not worth the cost!

Yeah, your conscience would probably haunt you if you did it. Just leave it to the Lord to punish that person.

No,we are all human and created by God, Im not going to do that even how much I am mad/angry or hate the person, its just not the right thing to do to end someone's life, you can get away from it and live free without all the whole word knowing what you've done but then the conscience might kill you and imprison you and might be hard for you to get away from it for doing this kind of thing, I rather have a peace of mind than thinking back and over for the biggest mistake.

Nice point, its better to be guilt-free than to have a heavy burden right? Let's just leave it up to the Lord to punish that person.

The answer is still "NO!". Can your conscience allow you to live a peaceful life knowing that you have killed someone and got away with. Justice awaits at the end of the road too.

Well, i havent killed someone yet so i cant answer your question, but apparently many people can manage to do that based on the crime statistics, and the people that rot in jail. But as you said, 'justice awaits at the end of the road', that's so true. You may escape the judgement of the people, but you can never escape the judgement of the Lord.

I do think if a person is getting dangerous for society as a whole killing him/her could be an option, But to decide that itself we need rules, Personal grudge against someone is not severe enough most of the time to seriously consider killing a person, But It really depends on situation .

Yeah, it really depends on the situation, coz sometimes people can do things impulsively like kill out of anger. But im all for killing someone who's existence itself is a threat to other people.

No I wont. I may escape the police but I can not escape the guilt. I can't live that way. I wonder how some people can live with it!

Oh i see. It is indeed a burden to one's conscience, a really heavy burden. But some people dont really have much of a conscience to begin with that's why they can stomach it.

In all honesty, yes if I could get away with killing someone I hated I would probably do it. I've never really been a person with a strong guilt/concious so I doubt I'd have any mental problems later on. I'm not saying it wouldn't be hard for me but I'm pretty sure that if I just poisoned them or something not gruesome and painful I could do it. compared to all these other answers i sound really mean and bit**y ,but I have a feling that the people who say thay couldn't are at least partially lying to themselves

I understand where you are coming from. Coz sometimes, rage and vengeance knows no bounds, and when we are very angry, various evil intentions enter our heads, especially when we are the one that is wronged or hurt emotionally or physically. I know how that emotion feels, thats why i thought of this topic. But looking at your profile, i see that you're only 16, so i wont be surprised when you change your opinion when you reach your 20's. Coz when i was a teen, my viewpoint has changed a bit when i entered my 20's, lol. But anyway, regarding the people who said that they couldnt do it, its either they have a very strong moral conscience and upbringing, that's why they cant see themselves doing it. The other reason that i can think of would be that they never had a serious enemy, or wasnt hurt enough physically and emotionally, so they never felt that kind of rage and anger that goes with it. Either of the 2 reasons.

Intersting question! I wouldn't do it, the willing is what would make me a murderer. I think intentions are also what makes someone good or bad, not the act it self.

Oh i see. Well, you got a point, since what goes around, comes around. And its a nice feeling to know that we did not do anything harmful to anyone. But in my opinion, i think if the person is evil, like for example a robber or a rapist trying to evade the cops and firing at them during the chase, or if those criminals attempted to hostage someone in an attempt to escape, then killing them is pretty much justified. If i were a cop, i wouldnt even feel guilty. I'd even say to myself, 'good riddance'. So yes, you are right regarding the 'intentions' part.

Nah even if their were no rules I would not be able to live with myself form killing another individual. Im sure that their are some individuals that would have no remorse from killing others and would take great joy in killing. That is what they would do, most of us have a conscience and that would prevent us from doing that sort of thing.Their are situations that this would take place as in if a case where a natural disaster took place it would be a matter of hours of days until the natural guard got called in and in the delay im sure their would be looting, murder and robbery taking place.

Oh, like the earthquake in Haiti, i watched in the news before that looting was very prevalent there. Maybe those people did it due to instinct? Like 'survival of the fittest'? That's how it is in the animal kingdom right? Although we are far more superior than animals and we have a soul. So i am torn if that behavior under dire circumstances in still normal or not. If a psychologist or psychiatrist happens to read this, pls. enlighten me if that is still considered normal human behavior. Anyway, you have a point, with the exception of the cops and soldiers who kill people to defend their country and the innocent people. I think killing bad people can be justified.
