Nerves are a natural precursor to any important event in your life. I don't know about water, but breathing exercise does help. Perhaps the most important points are to practice your presentation and be sure of it's content. But not so much so that you start rewriting tracts of it, get confused and worried. So just sufficient to feel more confident. And best wishes for the day.

Just take deep breaths and count back from ten, because if you know your material and what you're talking about you should do just fine. The last time I gave a report I realised i had a huge stain on my sweater and tried to hold my paper in front of it the whole time! so just make sure you don't spill on yourself during lunch and you'll be fine.

I think all of the responders made good points about dealing with your nervousness. It is important to understand that nervousness is something that is normal. It is a way for the body to prepare for the fight or flight response that is instinctive in people. I think the key is to be well prepared, practice, and remember to always break the ice with a little humor at the beginning of your speech. A witty phrase for example can help create a thaw in a tension filled room. Good luck and keep your head up.

You don't have to be nervous just relax.Just use simple yet overweilming words that could catch the attention of you audience.Be yourself, and tell them whats in your heart.Lastly, take a deep breath and go you can do it.Good luck.
