I want to answer this question because my children have been bugging me to get them a horse. But where is a horse's place in the city? Anyway, I would like to call it Need for Speed. Not because it's lacking in speed but because it's asking you if you want to see what speed is like. But then again, it doesn't sound like a pet horse's name so I'd settle for Rush. Haha! =)

Oh, I love the name Need for Speed! Speed is needed to be a Derby Winner! Great name, I think! Rush is good, too, but I like Need for Speed better. I always wanted a horse as a kid, too, and so did my kid, hahaha! I still want one, as an adult. Oh well, if wishes were horses... hahaha!

I would name my horse Tachyon. Tachyons are hypothetical particles that travel faster than light. And if something travels faster than light, supposedly it would travel back in time also, essentially arriving before it left. Therefore I would expect my horse Tachyon to win the Kentucky Derby before the race even started! I'm bettin' that ya probably expected a smartassed answer like this from me! LOL!

Leave it to my scientifically minded friend to come up with a horse with a Triple Crown winning name! You just couldn't stick to the mundane of just a Derby winner, now could you? Tachyon reigns, hahaha!

Well, science does have its advantages from time to time. :-)

My knowlege of horse races is completely lacking, but perhaps I would name it my own way like... Super Gene

That's a great name! Winning just may be in the genes of your horse! I'm not much into horse racing, either, but I do watch the Triple Crown races, which includes the Kentucky Derby. I'd much rather just ride a horse through a field or along a beach than race it, although, having a race horse could be a good income for some!

I would name it Flying Pride. I am not quite sure why, it just popped into my head. I was thinking of Flying Colors to emphasize it's speed, but "Flying Pride" to me just screams "I'm a victorious one." as for number one's response to you, that was a bit rude!

Now, I like the name Flying Pride! I can see this standing in the winning circle proud as can be, and as you say, screaming Victory! The horse's Colors would be that garland of roses around it's neck, while you hold the cup and the check, hahaha!

If I had to name a horse, it would be SuperBounce! Of course he would be a winner as I am sure he'll bounce out all competitions. As quickly as the race starts, he'll find himself bounce unto the winner's circle. And if I bet money on him, I would be bouncing my way to the bank.

That's a super name! And I love the way you think -- especially that you would be bouncing your way to the bank, hahaha!

I would keep my horse name as "LIGHTNING BOLT". The name sounds super fast. I hope that I gave the impression to the user of mylotters that my horse is fast.Cheers

Hahaha, yes! Your name for your race horse makes it sound super fast and that makes it a winner for sure! Your horse just might bolt out ahead of the rest to win and make you rich and famous. We can dream!
