Tiny houses

Anyone ever seen the tiny house blog or tumbleweed houses... I am working out my plans to build one. I am an absolutely broke college student with next to no money so right now it will be a tight project but in the long run it should save me some money. Anyone have any ideas to toss out there for cheap ways to build? We are going to be finding a trailer to build on and some sweet storage solutions. Probably will have a gravity fed shower and propane appliances. It will be myself, my bunny, and my boyfriend whenever he decides to visit. Hopefully will be all setup by next summer. Looking forward to hearing what people think.

I saw this discussion yesterday but wasn't sure what to say to it. Today I've looked it up. I don't think my husband and I would be able to live in one of those, and I am sure our friends and family would think it to be a ridiculous idea. The idea is noble, but there are other ways to save the environment. Renting an already built home for instance, though I know money is also a factor in your decision. Were we able to live in one, we would also choose to do so, but we'd have too little space, and right now we don't have the money.

Its nice to hear that other people would consider it. We have put it off for a little while as we aren't in a place to build. Brian has left for boot camp and so I rented a cheap room... However when we are able to continue we will because at least it will be our space.

I think it would be a great idea for a place for teenagers and college students to stay and they can move them to the back yard of their parents home. It would be a nice little thing to use on travels as well. I hope you can find the means to build one in the near future.
