How cool is that?

As some of you know I have been away for a while and so I was surprised to get a notification from the mylot team to say that a response I made to a friends discussion had been deleted! Ok it wasn't cool that I had it deleted but it was cool that they had told me and told me why. Now there won't be so many discussions about why someones discussion got deleted because they would have had a notification to tell them that they had not followed the guidelines!
What do you make of this notification?

Hi Humbug, Yes we get the notification but it doesn't really explain why as it seems that some discussiions that are obviously against guidelines go through and others which seem to follow rules still get deleted same as it ever was but we get told rather than have to wonder which ones I guess is the only good thing about it. Huggles. Ellie :D

I am thrilled about the notifications.
They could/should help so many to understand where not to post
There are several other new things since you were here.
Have you discovered the 'rewards' yet?

humbug the notifications do tell the p oster of deleted discussions whythey were deleted, they do tell what rule was broken and I
believe this is for the good of all of us. We learn to make
quality discussions and we do not lose earnings on deleted ones
as we do not make that error again. My lot admins is just cleaning
up our acts here.I just hope some of this soaks into peoples heads
so they will actually read the guidelines and rules and questions
and answers.I personally like that we get these notifications.

Yes! I like that too, well I dont like that somthing posted got deleted but I do like the fact that mylot has started notifying us of deletions made, thats neet so at least we dont have to be confused so much anymore I think they now remove individual responses too instead of the whole post. so yeah that is cool.

I got one today saying that one I had replied to was deleted. This person shouldnt have posted it, because it was talking about killing kittens or animals or something like that. I made a comment telling them that they should have better discussions. It got deleted because the discussion which I responded to got deleted. The first time it happened I was a little upset but after I read that today. It doesn't bother me to badly

Hi there crysontherocks77
I think I would still have commented to a discussion like that even if I knew the discussion would get deleted as I would have to get across my disapproval of such a discussion. What is annoying is when you have a discussion deleted that has had nearly 20 responses that you have taken the time to respond to!
Thanks for your response

I am somewhat fairly new to myLot but have learned quite a bit from all the reading of discussions I do here on a daily basis. As most may explain sometimes we already know and or have a feeling that discussions are going to be deleted, but yet we respond anyways to assist, especially one someone is very new on myLot. I am still learning and do check guidelines when I think I am going to start a discussion or think I may have a question before I respond sometimes.
I had one of my own started discussions deleted as it did go against the rules, it was not intentional it was neglect of knowledge toward the guidelines. At first I was a bit perturbed, but once I read the guideline I completely understood that it is what is and it was my neglect for not following the rules. When I respond to something that surprisingly gets deleted, especially if I was completely oblivious that it was going to be removed, I definitely check the guidelines and if I am not still not understanding I wait a bit and re-read them again and then it becomes clear to me as why this policy is in place.
It is still a learning curb but everyday I do learn something new, we are not robots therefore, we will make mistakes it what we leaen form them that counts. Oops sounded like a robot for a minute...

big deal. They delete my one discussion, and I can make 10 of them after it. I just want to make some extra money from it.
