Are there things which you're simply too sensitive to read?

I've just read a few lines about some old customs and I regret reading that because I feel like I'm going to puke. No, I see I'm not able to read some things, that's for sure. Are there things you can't read not because you don't understand, but because it's horrible?(I don't have in mind fiction books, but real stories).

It's related with body parts and yuk. It's like reading about Holocaust, but it's worse, because it's totally non human.

It's written in a manner that seems that the author is enjoying the facts.

There are certainly things I wish I had not read because they stay in my mind and bother me, but you never know that in advance, do you.

No, I don't know, but several lines of this printed crime told me everything.

Not so much, but there are things that I am too sensitive to watch, mostly involving body parts and blood...

Yes I agree there are many things I just don't need to put into my mind. Reality is often just to sad to revisit. In todays world so much is fed to us by the press that we have become hardened toward it, why visit the past for another dose.

I don't read horror fiction, weird science fiction and the likes.. I stick to Harry Potter, and Nicholas Sparks.. Self-help books were also in my list.

Oh, what was the book? I'm curious now, maybe I can have a try. I haven't experienced that, and I don't think characters can make me so sick. Maybe you're a bit over sensitive. Hope you'll be better soon!

Yeh, I hate to read about child abuse and suffering, my heart goes out to the poor children and I wish for a better life for them, other than that I can read about anything.
