Right before the Ashes the tour of England for Australia has ended as a pretty ordinary one. After loosing the ODI series against England, 3-2 and then loosing to Pakistan 2-0 in the T20s, they then ended up 1-1 in the test series against Pakistan. What do you think went wrong for Australia on this tour? Cheers! Ram

well the same thing that happened to the Indians the bowlers have lost their zip. Aussies lack that mystery spinner and also the spinner Smith isnt getting much support. Bollinger is brilliant but lacks consistency the same goes with hilfenhaus. The attack is very weak and also inexperienced. After the days of the Waughs, mcgrathes, gillespies and warnes people expect a lot from them. The batting is still elite although question marks have to be raised over Punter and Mr Cricket they are fading away. The greatest captain of all time for any team who has guided his team to consectuive World Cups still has many gaps to fill. Firstly he has never captained a winning team in England. Secondly, he is yet to place his name on the Lords Honours board and thirdly yet to guide his team to ashes victory on foreign soil. And please remember losing is with only one "o" It is losing and not loosing.

I think in the batting there is a pronounced vulnerability to swing. They struggled in the Ashes and now again during this tour. If anything I think Pup seems to be coming off age. Cheers! Ram
