Gambhir out from third test !!

Gautam Gambhir who would have played crucial role in decider on tuesday is ruled out due to injury, and Murali Vijay will open along with Virendra Sehwag.Well thats a shock for Indian team who plays this do or die match against Srilanka , personally i think Murali Vijay is not good enough to replace Gambhir and this will hurt India's chances in this match ,will it really affect India's chances or its not matter of concern looking at gambhir's current form .

Murali Vijay is in real good luck. Whenever it looks that he would have to make way for someone, that some one seems to get injured. But looking at Gambhir's form it might be a blessing in disguise for both Gambhir and India. I hope Vijay can take advantage of this opportunity, and score big runs.

Yes good point my friend , now Murali vijay should take this opportunity and play well on if its a seamer friendly wicket with some grass on it to prove that he is good enough to play not only in India but outside also and this will be nice experience for him before he plays in England Australia and SA as an opener in future if needed.

Gambhir was in the first test, his scores was terrible and India lost the test match. The batting form is important in cricket more than the reputation. Vijay has played very good knock in the 2nd test match, that type of innings is something makes the job easy for the later batsmen. SO, Gambhir is not a big issue in my view. If he is not well then he should be dropped and try with someone else, no point in asking to play an injured player without 100% match fitness. Vijay in my view is good test player and he is more suited to tests in my view than those T20 format. If he scores 50 runs and plays for at least half day then I would say he has done good job, Sehwag nature is to hit and get runs quickly. All Vijay has to do is play his nature game. That will be great help for India batting.. The major worry is Indian bowling, what is the solution found for that problem by the Indian team management, is something, I am looking forward to see.

I hope that Murali vijay replaces Gambhir well and plays a good knock ,though i think he will have to work more hard since this wicket might not be lifeless like last one on which he played and i agree completely that there is no use of taking a risk of playing a injured player.Good point that India's worry is bowling department and may be inclusion of munaf patel may help to some extent.

Gambhir is one of the top most opener India has had. Loosing him due to injury might be a big psychological blow, but one has to carry one. Murali Vijay is definitely a good opener and can replace Gambhir, but may not be as classy as Gambhir. He is the best 3rd opener at present after Gambhir & Sehwag.
If Vijay is not to be played, then they can always push Dravid to open with Sehwag and include Yuvraj (which I feel is fully fit!!!) and retain Raina; as both Raina & Yuvraj are in fine form. Raina hitting a century on debut & Yuvraj hitting a century in the warm ups & Fifty in the 1st test match.

Gautam gambhir will be surely missed by indian team in the third test. Certainly the combination between gambhir and virendra sehwag is perfect,they both play so skillfully without any pressure.But i feel its better to play a fit murali vijay instead of wounded gambhir.......

Hope gambhir absence will not be a big lose for the test match concern,if murali vijay is going to an turning point for our victory lets welcome him.
