i just wonder why there are some people who like to stay in their jobs for years.do they really love it?or are they just numb and be afraid of changing?then what about other people?they change their jobs frequently just because they could not find the job fitting them?or because they think the present job is so easy to do? so as employees, what's your opinion of this?

No matter what job you have long term or short term my advice is TRY to save a little into a fund that you cannot touch until you retire, I know its easier said than done but IF ONLY i had listened to my Father when he told me that I would not be living below the poverty line now and still not reached retiremnet yet. Changing your job gives your more experience in various ways bt if you do find a job you love then stick with it.

For this changing world it is advisable to learn and change jobs quickly for a certain limit of age, after that hold to one position and continue to sucess through all the way we gathered the experience.

yes,i also agree that we should first find a job,and then learn whether we fit it.after that,we can choose the most fitful ones for us.

I think, these days, there is less opportunity for people to stay in the same job for their entire working life (as was the case in my parents' generation). There are more lay-offs and more jobs are eliminated and such... but if a person has the chance to devote their working life to the one job or company they love, great for them! Changing jobs is good if it's done for the right reasons... to better one's self, for a promotion, to learn something new, etc. Changing jobs frequently because a person is always looking for the "next great opportunity" or because they consistently find fault with their current job and move on to the next, isn't always good. Too many job changes in too short a time looks very bad on a person's resume. It generally gives the impression that the person is not reliable and that they simply jump from job to job. A company would be less inclined to invest their time and money into hiring and training such a person if they are just going to leave in a short time. Changing jobs is something that should be considered seriously, in regards to the motivation to do it... particularly in these times of less available employment opportunities.

I totally agree with you.to many companies, the one who changes jobs frequently is seen as irresponsible.they usually ask the reason.and as training a person costs too much, the company always take some measures to let employees stay longer.so before you change it,you'd better take a second thought.

i personally belive one should stick to a one job.. then only we can gain skills and experience and improve.. keep changing jobs will be a mix of skills which can be vital in some cases.. atleast we should try to stick to the same field.. when the experiece is a requirement when applying to a job we can gain the advantage..
