What to do for a toothache?

Man, I have two teeth that pieces have fallen off of. They don't hurt most of the time and don't seem to bother me much. But Friday night when my kids were over for family night I was just eating along and I guess a piece of toast got on the nerve in the one tooth. It hurt like crazy. Now I am having to deal with a toothache! I just simply don't have the money to go to the dentist! For the most part ibuprofen keeps it at bay, but I don't really like taking a lot of medicine. Any ideas how to help a tooth stop aching?

This is a very strange but a very good way to stop toothache. Slice a garlic, put in a piece of cloth. Feel your pulse on the opposite side of the aching tooth. If the tooth is on the left side find your right pulse and vice versa. Put the garlic on the pulse and tighten it on your arm. Make sure you choose the opposite pulse. Don't put the garlic straight to your skin. It may burn. If you have heart problems don't use this method. It may raise your blood pressure. If you are OK just try it. Once I used it after all the methods I had tried. Only this one helped me.

I've never heard this one! I'll have to try it. That's a pretty cool trick if it works!

The best treatment for it is root canal treatment, but as u don't have money and want to go with the tooth as it is. Try this. While eating anything do not press it hard particularly with affected tooth, however soft it may be, to make it swallowable. It will take a little longer to finish the food. Always keep a soft tooth-brush and a floss in your purse, so that if anything gets into the cavity, first try to remove it with the help of water by filling the mouth with it-close the mouth-move the water briskly into the mouth by inflating your cheeks time and again. If it is still not removed, take the help of brush or floss to must get it out immediately. Repeat the process if necessary. After every meal , make it a habit to clean your teeth without fail with water and brush so that no particles of food remain inside your mouth. I have full faith that not only your aching teeth but also your other teeth will never trouble you. Also your teeth appear to be brittle, so take calcium tablets for a few days and calcium rich food like whole milk, egg etc. in general along-with vitamin-C in the shape of a lemon sprinkled on vegetable or squeezed in a glass of water with a little sugar+salt after 1 hour of meals. Follow it and enjoy with your teeth for ever.

Perhaps a cold compress "might" do the trick until you can see a dentist. Just don't try to pull them out by yourself, due to the risk of poison draining into your system. I had a friend who did this recently. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us. Visit a dentist as soon as you can. cdrxo

You really should see a dentist if your teeth have broken. There might be something wrong. I know it's expensive, but it's better to get it done now than to wait and have more issues and pay more money later.
