Do you support the views that vegetarian persons live longer and healthier than the non-vegetarian people? A section of people thinks that people eating fish, meat and other non-veg items excessively are more prone to suffer from various diseases, mental disorders, stress, and imbalances than those who are pure vegetarians. Do human behavior, quality of health and mind depend on type of diet we take? What are your views?

I don't think so. Red meat has vitamins and minerals in it that are needed for a healthy diet. I think the real trick is finding a happy medium not giving up on certain things all together. Ofcourse if there are real indepth problems then you have to look at that but for the average case I think just finding a happy medium is okay.

I think most studies show that they don't, but people who eat less are apt to live longer.

Actually, studies show vegetarians live around 7 years longer, including the largest study on diet, The China Health Project. Vegetarians have lower rates of cancer, (40% lower by the most resent study) heart disease and other chronic degenerative diseases. all the best urban

I do believe that vegetarian persons live longer and are more stronger than non-vegetarian. I saw lots of vegetarian in my city(specially Hindus) who are very strong, active, healthy, not fatty at all, and have a glowing face and skin. I really love it though I'm non-vegetarian but I eat a lot of vegetables and eat really tiny amount of non-veg. Please check this site..http://www.britishmeat.com/49.htm you'll find lots of reasons and benefits of being vegetarian.

As far as I can see, vegetarianism is not so good.vegetable can't offer all nutrition we need,so waht we need is a balanced diet.

If all other things are equal it could be like that. But if a veg drinks lot of coffee, sleep late, work at odd hours without proper diet and so on, then someone who eat non-veg without eating too much may have a longer life span. Moreover, life span could depend upon hereditary factor too as some people might have inherited certain diseases from their parents. So I think unless we have two people whose lifestyle is almost the same, then comparing life span based purely on diet may be difficult.

all the animals and we humans were born on the earth with equal rights.then why should we eat other animals when nature is providing us with fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables? Persons who have veg are more healthier than persons who have non-veg. According to my knowledge no non-veg provides extra proteins or vitamins than vegetarian, then why should we have non-veg. No non-veg can be taken without cooking because it stinks but coming to veg there are people who will eat vegetables raw.. Now you decide yourself which is better

I don't know if that is true, but i am not inclined towards it. Vegetarians are missing one vitamin but that is not a real necessity either. Anyways.. I believe junk food and the kinds cause more health issues, coz of the oil and cholesterol.

It is wise to believe that a vegetarian can live longer. they live a much healthier lifestyle. They take better care of their body's nutrition. It is a matter of choice. Our bodies can only function in the way that we treat them.

There are many real health advantages of being a vegetarian.especially in terms of living.Vegetarians person reduces the prone from suffering from various diseases.A person leading a vegetarian lifestyle can spend much less than their meat eating counterparts, vegetarian food is often cheaper, this includes both the raw ingredients purchased from supermarkets and meals taken in restaurants and other eateries. Some people will say that it is unnatural for humans to eat meat, others will say that it is totally natural process. What is certain, however, is the modern meat-eaters diet includes a greater proportion of meat than that of our ancestors. This increase can cause health problems for variety of reasons. Meats can be difficult to digest,The fats are unhealthy. Meat can contribute to high cholesterol levels. Some cancers such as bowel cancer are more prevalent in meat eaters,In contrast, a vegetarian diet is typically high in fiber and rich in vitamins and minerals, which is important to a healthy diet.

People need vegetables and also meat to be able to live longer. No doubt that vegetables is a good source of vitamins and minerals and very natural. But we also need meat which is a good source of protein, but should be taken with right amount and proper preparation or cooking. So these are very important to be able to live longer. But if I were to choose only one, I think those vegetarians can live longer compared to those who only eat meat or non-vegetables. Our state of mind is affected by the foods that we take. So if we eat healthy foods, the we are healthy in all aspects. That's why I believe in the saying that "We are what we eat".

I agreed with that Vegetarian more likely to live more than eating so much polluted food such as meat, fatty foods. I did tried Vegetable and salad for many days without eating meat and sort of fatty foods it makes me feel loose or more healthier and my high blood pressure goes down very rapidly that body is more better than before. But as now I still eating some meat back to old days I want go back again but it is tempting to eat junkie food I hope I can strengthen my will to eat vegetable again and no more rice and meat and fatty foods.
