I Prefer Lipgloss Over Lipstick

I've always preferred lipgloss over lipstick. I find lipgloss to be more pretty and to stand out more as having luscious lips... rather than colorful ones lol. I've seen a lot of women embarrass themselves by accidentally coloring lipstick on their teeth and then smiling at everyone they see. I know that lipstick has advanced from what it was in the past... now you can get nonrub lipstick that lasts for hours.. but I still find lipgloss to be better. Lipstick dries our your lips... leaving them cracked and chapped over time... where lipgloss doesn't do that... plus lipgloss is more inexpensive.. however, lipstick lasts longer. What do you wear??

I wear both, but I wear lipstick very rarely, so I would say I prefer lipgloss too, since I wear it on a regular basis. It is just easier to apply, even if you are on the run, and makes your lips look bigger, which I like.

@puccagirl Yes, I prefer lipgloss, too!! I didn't know it made them look bigger, though.
@koditza I don't even own one tube of lipstick!! I never have!!

I also prefer lipgloss over lipstick, specially now that I am not getting any younger. Lipgloss makes me look younger and I think it's more safe.

I usually don't use anything at all because I just like to be as natural as possible. However, when I am going to some sort of an event that I need to be dressed to the T and I need to have on some makeup, then I choose lipgloss over lipstick because I find that it is easier to put on the right way and I also think that it looks better. It gives the lips a moist, juicy look as opposed to giving them a color that isn't at all natural.

It depents. But i like lipgloss more. If i want to look very pretty: going to party etc. i use hot red lipstick, because it looks hot ;). But if im going just out for shopping or just hanging out then i use lipgloss...i don't really know why. :D

I wish I could try like a red lipstick but my complexion doesn't match that or any other color for that matter... neither light pink or any odd color.. it kind of sucks. But I prefer lipgloss, too.

For the longest time I wore lipstick, because I don't really like glittery lip glosses which are too sparkly (I do like subtle ones though). After a while I got fed up of having dry looking lips, sometimes I'd apply transparent lip gloss on top of the lipstick to try and not make them look as dry but it would wear off quite quick. For the past couple of years I've switched to a lip gloss by Lancome and I love it! It feels much nicer on the lips and always looks moist with a lovely shine.
