I've had lots of dogs in my lifetime... from childhood to adulthood. Some were outdoors, others indoor.. some I loved more than others... some I really didn't care about at all. The last dog I had was my favorite.. being a medium-haired chihuahua whom we named Nina Sky. She was beautiful and so human-like because of her intelligence. She was by far...my favorite. In the past I've had the following dogs: Tan lab named Cocoa Black lab mixed with a pitbull named Weezy F Baby Miniature schauzer named Pepper Brown collie named Shaggy and a Cream with tan spots Eskimo Spitz mixed with a beagle named Charlie Brown I also now here recently take care of an all black Daschund mixed with a poodle named Tooie... and he's gorgeous. He has the body of a hotdog but has wavy poodle hair. I miss my chihuahua though. I am thinking about getting my daughter a dog that she can grow up with, so that she won't be scared of dogs. What kind of dogs have you had??

I'm pretty sure that during the 30 years of my life to date we've had 14 dogs total. Some of them were dogs that we kept at our house and others were dogs that we kept at my mother's property that she owned in another county. My favorite dog would have to be Fluffy who was a pound puppy that we adopted he was a terrier mix. My least favorite, I honestly don't know. The other dogs that we've had were: Pepper - A dauchound mix Fudge - A multese and beagle mix Sara - A pit bull (my mother has her) Harley - A pit bull Rebel - A sharpei chow mix Jr. - A pup of Harley and Rebel Scooby - A pup of Harley and Rebel Precious - A sharpei Midnight A sharpei Michela - A hound dog (we still have her) Jasmine - A corgi mix (we still have her) Zoe - a pit mixed with lab (my mother has her) Eeyore - a weiner dog (my sil has him)

When I was growing up dogs and cats for a no-no for family pets. My parents weren't too fond of them for some reason. We had a bunch of other animals from guinea pigs to birds but no dogs. It wasn't until a bit over a year ago that my dad brought two chihuahuas home. It was probably one of life's shocking moments for my siblings and I because we always assumed that my dad hated dogs. Turns out that we were wrong about that. But anyways, we have two chihuahuas, a short coat and a long coat. Te female one is called Daisy and she's almost three while the male one, Toby, is around a year and a half (both in human years of course). Unfortunately, we didn't get to name them which was a bummer. The previous owners gave them their names and it already stuck so we didn't want to go through the hassle of training them to respond to new names.

I love chihuahuas. A lot of people have misconceptions about them... calling them mean, finicky, frisky dogs that will try to attack and bite... but that's not true in the slightest. I think it's cool that your parents changed their minds and actually brought dogs into the household. I know how it feels to have every pet except the one you really want... for I have had fish, cats, guinea pigs and turtles too. Daisy and Toby are pretty names. Thanks for sharing your experiences!!

I've had a mixed German shepherd before and I lost her at 14 years she was the best one I ever had. We never trained her but she acted like she was. I love her loads. I just lost my other 3 month old malshih twin a few days ago to parvo. It was a terrible ordeal glad the other twin survived. The other dog I have now a terrier-spitz mix is so unruly she wants to do things her way but I am not giving into her though and she is learning that NO is NO. I got her from someone she dominated on but well not me.

That sounds very interesting!! I am terrified of Dobermans, though. As a child I had an orange tabby named Angel.. I was walking home from school one day and I was carrying here in my arm because she was just a kitten. The neighbor's dog next door (we lived in the county then) was a Doberman pincher mixed with a Boxer named Princess. THIS DOG CHASED ME FROM THE BUS STOP ALL THE WAY HOME!! I was very young then and my little legs must've been going because I outran this HUGE puppy dog and jumped up on one of my grandfather's piles of wood he'd chopped. I still had the kitten in tact, mind you, and all of my books and everything. I picked the biggest piece of chopped wood that I could find from the top and frisbee threw it right into her nose!! After she ran way squealing, I was still scared for about 5 minutes and then I finally got down and sprinted the rest of the way home after it had began to rain... it was one of the scariest times of my life because there was no one around to help me. If she would have caught up to me and my kitten, she could've mauled me or anything.. but it was as if Angel were an angel for real.. because this cat was so smart to the point where she'd meet me at the bus stop everyday from then until the dog was gone and then still afterwards. I only think I'd be able to have 2 different dogs in my household at once mainly because they are just like children and have to be watch constantly. Also, they wouldn't be very big dogs... probably fairly small like that of many of my dogs I've had in the past. Plus, I have white carpet, so they definitely have to be house broken.
