Hi kellymarie, Our earnings are not tied to 1. how our profile is designed 2. how many interests we added 3. how many friends we have and not even 4. how many responses we get for our discussions. It depends on 1) how much you type 2) quality of your words If you master this technique, you will soon see your earnings grow. I see you have been responding to some topics, just keep doing that. For your own discussion topics, try to reply back to the responders, it will pique interest and increase your earnings. Happy mylotting.

You outline several factors but the most important is that we earn for DISCUSSING. That is what myLot was created for and that is what causes earnings. It is not just 'how much you type' but the context in which you type it. Starting a topic with a really long post similar to a review is not a quality discussion if the original poster is not actively participating with those who respond.

Diana, thanks for the correction. I actually meant that in my last paragraph, but maybe the "how much you type" part is a bit misleading...sorry... kellymarie, pls read Diana's post below. She's really helpful here, especially for newbies like us.

New Lotters bring a breath of fresh air to the Lot so it is in the intersts of everyone that they learn and find their slot. I was new too a long while ago and I can still remember how it was then Thank you for those words blue and happy to help when I can

kellymarie I think that you would be wise to go and read the FAQs and see what myLot tell us to do here. We do not earn for posting, we earn for DISCUSSING. When you start a topic and others respond, it is courtesy and it increases your earnings if you then get back to those users and further the topic. That is what myLot tell us in the FAQs which you seem to have over-looked. they tell us to post + respond + COMMENT because THAT is what makes a discussion. http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14 If you then take a look at the Guidelines: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx you will see that asking people to go to your profile and discussing the aglorithm are two of the things which we are asked not to mention in the discussisons.

Everything that I say is from the Guidelines or the FAQs. It just seems that too many Lotters don't see the same things that I see

kelly your profile has not one thing to do with your earnings. You get paid for what you post, what you yourself type and how good your comments and responses are, they must have meaning and be able to be understood. Nothing in our profiles get paid for, just making discussions and commenting on the responses we get, responding back to others discussions with well thought out responses these make you money. nothing in ou r profile have to do with our making money at all.nice profile but that is not what we are paid for. And why is your profile better thatn anyone elses? you have very little activity and discussing and responding and commenting are what you= are paid for here kelly. go read the guidelines, the rules on discussions the questions and answers to know hoe to make money here and also have fun too.,

When I say "profile" I dont mean the presentation or my interests. I mean the number of quality posts. I also comment, discuss and search. I always spell and grammer check my discussion responses, and my started discussions. I only have about 4 posts with any type of grammatical error. I also have many "best responses." In any case, thank you guys for all your responses. Atleast the site keeps me writing! Again, thank you guys for trying to help. I would rate the social network involved with mylot a ten! I just wish I made a little more but thats ok. Hope you guys have a great day!

Yes one can check your profile but no one can see the amount you have made so far. It depends on how well you are participating and your responses and how you use the search engine that pays you money on mylot. Many of us cant make that much also with just 40 responses. I suggest you read the guideline and FAQ's fore more information.

Hello friend! See.... myLot is a social networking site in where you can earn some extra cash in your pocket just by discussing in different interests with your friends. I have see that you earned $1.07 and you wanted to earn more. You will never get rich with myLot but surely you can increase your earning by posting more posts daily and by getting some friends as referrals. Also remember one thing that in myLot you earn money for TYPING not for getting responses. Responses partially affect your earning but T-Y-P-E is the main key to success in myLot. Also remember that if you rate other mylotters "+" you can surely expect the same rating from them and you know that rating affect your earning. And also remember that while you create a discussion add an image regarding the topic, this will increase your earning. Also try to upload many images daily in different interests. Remember that you just wrote '29' words in the discussion. I don't think it is enough to clear your thread. Please do some large posts for more earning. Enjoy myLot!

Nowhere does it say that more or less words create earnings. We are told to put the accent on QUALITY and DISCUSS, not post.

Yes, what is it you are questioning? Most people join mylot because it's a social networking site that just happens to pay you. You are NOT going to get rich here. The money is a benefit.
