Are you afraid to leave you comfort zone?

Have you noticed how some people reach amazing heights, while others who appear to have the same opportunity, are left far behind? I feel that it's because some are afraid of failure, they have not been taught to believe in themselves, while others are told, the sky's the limit, never let fear be your master. When we test ourselves, by going outside of the realm of our comfort zones, we often discover that we are capable of unimaginable feats of strength and goodness. Many people never come to understand the full scope of their abilities and aptitudes because they allow fear to dictate the course their lives take. In daring to step into the unknown, we assert that we will not allow apprehension to prevent us from fulfilling our potential. We recognize the possibility that our efforts will be met with failure and forge ahead bravely nonetheless, confident that our determination will carry us forward and sustain us even during the most difficult of times.

we need to leave our comfort zone so we can test ourselves and know what else we are capable of doing apart from what we are used to and already have. exploring is a wonderful thing. it opens up many opportunities and allow us to live and acquire new learnings that we can use as we go through life. we can also use the experience to evaluate ourselves and what we really want to do with our lives. why only choose white when there are other colors around you like red, blue, pink, orange, purple, etc? we should never limit ourselves and even allow negative circumstances to let us stay stagnant. i say explore the world, learn what you can, enjoy the moment, use what you learn, and be happy! i have. and i will continue to do so . . . happy mylotting, guys!

Hi, It's true that people can achieve what they want if they put the maximum will power into what they do. However I believe that in order to do so they must have adequate health if not there will not be enough energy to fulfill their dreams. As for me, I want to achieve so many things but my energy doesn't permit me to do them. So I have to be content with what I have. Hope you'll be able to achieve everything that you wanted in life. Have a nice day..

I am a typical example of a person who couldn't leave her comfort zone. There have been so many opportunities that should have been mine had I geared myself for it, but No. Well currently, I have been having trouble applying for an overseas job. Most nurses are aiming for that as well. I have seen my classmates leave the country and fin'lly living their lives the way they planned (well not exactly the way they planned but at least close to it.) There were circumstances that hindered me though.

Not me, I love challenges ,and I believe that we can do anything if we try hard to accomplish our goals. I recently started working in a residential treatment helping special need kids ,and I truly believe that I can make a difference in their lives.

I think I used to be afraid to, but now, whether I fail or not, at least I tried right??? I think a lot is support, if someone has no support or negative words spoken to them, they tend to fear the unknown. But with family and a friend who is there for you, then I think it makes a person brave enough to leave their comfort zone. At least this the case for me. If it wasn't for a friend, I'd probably still be stagnant in my life..

Hi carmel, You are right, most people don't realize what effect words can have on another. Look at the difference between children who are raised to have a positive attitude toward life, and those who are constantly being told that they are stupid or that they will never amount to anything. Thanks for sharing a very good point. Blessings.

Hi Pose123, You are so right. There are some people who are stuck in one zone, the safety zone. They are not comfortable, but are afraid to venture out to find a better life for themselves. On the other hand, there are people who are optimists and will take any challenge the world has to offer. Some people want to travel abroad, but are afraid to travel on an airplane, so they miss all the beauty that awaits them in other parts of the world. People have allowed their fears to dominate their lives. The sad part about this is, that people don't have to be stuck in this rut. The world is wide open with advances for all who are willing to take a bite out of it. I think if you sit on a rock all your life, you will only see one side of the world. I think we should take a leap of faith and live a little.

We all have a comfoert zone where we feel the most secure. it is a big step to leaveit and move on. Some have the courage to take that step. Some struggle with it all their lives. We have to find the]at inner voice that pushes us. We have to find the self confidence to carry forward. Leaving that comfort zone can be a challenge but it can also take us to greater heights. it is a risk worth taking.

It's hard to go out of your comfort zone. Most people would stay in their comfort zone because they are afraid of what might happen if they break free. I'm afraid. But I'm proud to say that I've done some leaping in my life. It took a lot of courage and support from family and friends, but I was able to do it. Sometimes, all we need is one push. And ofcourse, we should not be afraid to make mistakes. Coz it's from mistakes that we learn.

Hi juryse, Thank you for sharing this and I agree it's hard for many of us to get out of our comfort zone yet I have always been rewarded when I did. There is a good feeling to have accomplished something that took courage. I also agree that we learn from mistakes. Blessings.
