My friend recommends reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown.

I think that Dan Brown is really very overrated. The Da Vinci code and Demons and Angels weren't bad, the stories were good but Brown's writing leaves a lot to be desired!!

Try anothing by Tess Gerritsen. She is spellbinding and the new series "Rizzoli & Isles" is based on the two major characters in her books. I read "The Bone Garden" and I was hooked.

Try the books by Mary Higgins Clark,...very interesting and draws you into the story like you want to be a part of it. The plots are unique, and there's a little romance in some of her stories.
