I would read the book first, the movie and book are unlike on so many levels. Unfortunately I didn't like the movie adaptation as much as I wanted to. The story is great though, so I mean it wouldn't be too bad if you watched the movie first, but it might sway you away from reading the book. The book is written so well and it sucks you in to the point where you don't put the book down until you find out what happened and how it comes together!

Ooh theres a film on the book? Well thank you for saying it, now I know too. I've read the book and it left a lasting impression. So I'd say to read the book first, because my experience is that films based on books are different. You should should read the book to get intimate details then when you're watching the movie and they leave something out, you won't get confused.

Hi, tianajanae Welcome to Mylot. I have read the book but have not seen the movie yet. However, I have been told that the movie was really good too. If you are into reading, I think you should read the book first. Have a nice day!

I read the book long before the movie came out and also saw the movie. The movie was good but as I usually find, I liked the book much more than I liked the movie. I usually like to see the movie before I read the book but in this case, I read the book when it first came out.

Ive watched the movie with my niece. I didnt get to read the book but my niece did . According to her the book has more suspense and thrill .. but the way the movie was made is fairly good.

Hey there I read this book and I couldn't put it down, it was completely emotionally involving and I forgot about everything else. I missed the film when it was in the cinemas, I think I probably had no money and was travelling, but I would like to see it. I'm sure they will leave things out though so I would read the book first. She is a great author. Has anyone read any other of her books, alice sebold? I haven't yet. Enjoy.

hello, i seen the movie. I did not read the book because I didnt not know the movie was based from a book. The movie was a really good movie! hands down! but, i would read the book first then see the movie. Might be better that way. And I'm sure the book has more details than the movie.
