Does the sesame seed on the bun affect the taste of your burger?

Sesame oil has a really strong flavor to it, but sesame seed where the oil came from doesn't taste as much, so does it affect the taste or enhance the flavor? I think the other parts of the burger already have engulfed the tongue's feel for this minuscule flavor. Do you even eat burger?

It affects it a little bit. Not a lot but there is a slight change kind of a nutty flavor and it kind of makes the bun a little more crunchy, so you got the softness of the bunn with a very slight crunch for the sesame seeds. So I guess you can say that add a little texture and just a hint of a nutty flavour.

Maybe I'll try a whopper when this braces soreness goes away and see if the sesame seed does. Maybe I just don't pay attention to detail as I'm usually hungry when eating burgers and don't care much about flavor or texture. All I'm thinking was to fill myself up. Thanks.

Not to me they dont. The seeds are not toasted. When you toast them thats what bring out the oils and natural flavors. when the are on a bun they have no taste atall to me.

Yeah, it makes the bun extra crunchy in my opinion.

It is true that, while sesame oil has a pronounced flavor, the seed does not. While its delicate flavor is subsumed somewhat by the plethora of ingredients that reside with in its bun, a soft, sweet taste remains. And, sesame seeds are healthy, as opposed to some of the other burger ingredients. I think, in its own "special" way, it enhances the burger. Yes to sesame seeds say I! And, yes to burgers. I had my first one at our newly opened Five Guys Burgers and Fries just yesterday and enjoyed it immensely. I do not eat burgers that often, so it was a special treat.

In my case, there is not a huge difference. just that you feel them when you eat, bu i personally don't think they have a pregnant taste

I really think it does affect the flavor ... its aromatic taste enhances the burger sandwich experience..

It does as far as I am concerned. When I was a child, I would peel the entire outer layer off the crown of my bun to rid it of all the seeds. It looked funny, but it tasted better to me. If I am out with people and the burgers come with a sesame seed bun, I will eat it just to avoid looking conspicous. I don't enjoy it that way though. If i am alone, I peel the crown of my bun, same as I always did.
