Are you contented with what you have?

Most people are greedy, they will never satisfy with what they have. They will wish for those they would not have. Poor people wish that they would have enough to eat. When they have enough to eat, they wish to eat better, when they have better things to eat, they wish for comfort ... and the list goes on... When will people be contented with what they have? It there an end to this?

i dont think so bcs there is always new things appearing in our lives and our instinct is to want it. thats human nature^^ its right sometimes it seems we are so selfish always wanting new things but we do all to make our life completely happy and if we can have something for it we try to accomplish that. about me i dont ask too much in my life^^ i just want someone that loves me and cares for me forever^^ thats all i want^^

If I were alone, I would definitely say that I could be content with what I have. I would rather have a simple job with not much responsibility. Even if it meant not earning a lot; just enough to live by simple means.
Unfortunately, I am not alone. And I have a great desire to provide my family with everything through whatever means I could. And unfortunately, this means I could never allow myself to be contented.

I totally agree with you with this. Once we have a family, it seems more difficult to be contented. Income is never enough for the growing expenditure...
Well... lets work smart and fulfill our dreams... at the mean time, try to be contented for what we have, exmp: our family and health.

People can be contented if they are happy with what they have. When we accept that there are things which we cannot have and appreciate those that we have.

Sometimes, we need to be contented for certain things we have but others don't. For example, we are lucky to be born normal.... some people were born without limbs; we are lucky to have a computer.... some people don't even have enough food to eat..... and the list goes on
I am really thankful of lots of things i have now!

Maybe every person in the world has a greed intention in his heart,just more or less on apperance.But some people get more and more things they want through their hardwork,and others get more and more things just through their power or other ways.I like the former and approve it, I hate the latter and against it.If all of the people get rich through their hardwork and leagal trade ,if not,they can realize it,it will be a great step to stride towards the civilization.

I do agree that hard work will pay, but don't forget that we are not supposed to only work hard, we need to work smart. What is the point of us doing repetitive things with low productivity. We need to do different things to accheive greater productivity. Good luck and start to work smart! Cheers!

no, there is no end, even a multi millionaire wants more, the only diffrence is that they get it. but greed is in everyones heart. even those who say they are happy and content with what they have are only lying to everyone and themselves. it is very cruel and harsh for me to say but it is true.

That's the cruel fact of life. Rich people gets richer and poor people never rich. Also those who do more are usually the lower level but those who gets the most are the higher management. Anyway, we need to be contented with certain things we have. Maybe our requirements will get higher, but for those requirements that we already fulfilled, we need to be contented with it :p.
