I have wondered the same thing! I am not sure. As for writing in the book, I don't think I could do that even if there is a blank page.

Simple. Books are usually printed on a very large sheet of paper eight pages at a time. These large sheets are then folded and cut to size. So, writers can't write to just any number of pages. It has to be divisible by eight because whatever the page count, the printer will be charging for the sheets of paper used and not the actual pages. Although the printer can remove the excess blank pages, but it will added work so they'll probably charging more. Anyway, if ever there are blank pages in a book, it means that the writer did not plan his writing well or maybe, a rookie who's not familiar with the publishing industry.

For taking notes? Honestly, not so sure, but some of my friends and I have always believed that it was for taking notes or writing a message or dedication to someone.

Hiya thepanka, Like Hatley says I would have thought that too about those blank pages I think it´s to do with the format and the amount of printing they can do on certain kinds of pages say like normal size in page is A4 but maybe they wanted the Book printed in a different letter or size and I suppose the cost logically has a lot to do with it also. So maybe the pages end up as spare and they don´t have the time or the machinery to take those surplus pages off so they stay there.

I guess that its the book's extra attraction. Now that you have finished reading the book, try to draw all the characters in the story as how you would imagine them. Or, the writer has ran out of words and already signed on amount of pages.

I always thought that the blank pages were there to try and protect the inside of the book. I am not sure really why they are there if that isn't the case. It may have to do with weight distribution of the pages.

I do programs on publisher so I know when I have blank pages it is because there is nothing left to input and well you cannot cut the pages as they are in a sequential order. Some say so that we can take notes, this isn't really what it is intended for.
