I haven't seen any reliable payment information yet and I have heard of one person who wasn't paid because Readbud didn't consider that she had really read the articles. I'm afraid that that may happen to many people because it's a great temptation just to scroll to the bottom and rate and I'm sure that MOST people will just do that. They will certainly have a shock coming to them if they do!
However, I HAVE just submitted my claim today. It says that they first have to check whether it's eligible (whether I have really read the articles before rating them - which I have, and can prove it!) and then it takes 'up to 30 days'. Well, we shall see!

I shall certainly post to this thread (if it still exists) if and when I receive any outcome - positive or negative!
Unlike many others, I am not yet declaring it a 'scam' because it is impossible to do so without hard evidence. I have seen one person say that they were refused payment because they did not follow the Terms and Conditions: I have, so far, only seen three 'proofs of payment' and I am fairly certain that at least two of those were hoaxes.
It is interesting to note that the number of articles you receive a day gradually reduces as your balance increases, so it takes much longer than you think at first to reach payout. I joined on 30 March and reached $50 on 19 August. I think I only missed one day of reading and rating. Once I have heard from Readbud one way or another, I shall be publishing a full and detailed report!

So your intuition is right. Readbud is a scam so there is no reason to keep trying to reach the payout. Instead of wasting time at Readbud it is better to just stay here at myLot for this is the most trusted site ever.

Please do not waste your time with readbud. They will not pay at all and they lie. I have yet to see anyone get a legit payment. As one gets closer to payment the articles decrease and people who do actually make it to 50 get a notice saying that they will not get paid because the person never read the articles.
