Crocheting as my hobby...

I have been crocheting for oh maybe 50yrs now started when I was 16yrs now 60yrs make granny squares love them as they are easy to carry and make but then oh boy putting them together is a lot of work but I do well have make many blankets for the family and friends now sell online do pretty good yes i think we are among the few crocheters left in our craft

I have found that crochet and knitting are gaining popularity again. I love to crochet and have just recently started falling in love thread crochet and doilies. So much fun, and lots of free patterns available. I also enjoy making afghans, mittens, hats, and scarves for my grandkids and charities.

i like to crochet too. it gives me something to do when i am watching tv and especially during the cold winter.

I thought it was also something only elderly folks did as well. There are many people who knit or crochet here and many groups online for advice and tips. I dunno perhaps since not many people do that there you could make a mint off your creations? Welcome to MyLot BTW :0)

I also crochet and have found that there aren't too many people that crochet anymore long ago you would find someone in the household that knew how to crochet I enjoy it very much I have my whole closet full of crochet blankets that I have made and now sell on the web it is also good to make a little etra money while enjoying my hobby

I do it too! Or I try anyway, I am not very good at it I am afraid. I don't really know any other young people who do it though... But my Mom and my Grandma do!

I crochet and ironically my grandmother knits but does not really crochet. lol. I actually know quite a few people who do crochet. In fact, my sewing teacher crochet and a lot of knitters that I know do a little crocheting because sometimes you need to do a bit of crocheting to finish off a knitting project. You can even take crochet classes at the craft stores here. So someone must want to learn to crochet as well or they wouldn't offer the class.
