Hello guys I was so sad about the hostage drama happened in my country last night. I admit there were so many lapses and loopholes that need to be reviewed between the media and the police authorities. To all of my friends and people who happened to watched those condemnable event in the history of my country, I am deeply sorry. I can't give you the full details because I was not there when the incident happened. What I saw was only a former senior police officer commandeered a tourist bus full of Hongkong nationals supposedly returning back to their country after having a vacation here in our country. He demanded to the government that he would be returned back on his government position. What I observed the shooting happened when the brother of the suspect resisted police arrest after he (the brother) suspected of being accessories of the hostage drama. The hostage drama ended with eight tourists dead and eight wounded. The suspect also dead after the shootout. This is the worst hostage drama ever happened in my country that involved some foreign nationals. My country is under condemnation of the international communities especially from Hongkong nationals. I am deeply sorry for that...

I'm from Hong Kong, but I won't condemn your country. Every country has bad guys. What really angers me is the performance of the SWAT team.

My friends talked about corruption, is that the problem? If you don't feel like answering (not sure if there is censorship), then don't.

It is my belief that ppl that blame a whole nation are very closed-minded. You should not have to apologize for what you did not do or participate in.

I am sorry in behalf of my country. I was thinking about my Hongkong friends how they felt about this. What would I suppose to say if they would ask my assessments about this incidents? I am sad also about our government tourism. This would be a big upset and downgrade of our country... Thanks for responding anyway...

Do you live in the Philippines? I don't hate the Philippines, but I think that the Filippino people need to evaluate how things really are over there. My cousin's mother is from the Philippines, and she thinks that it's so great over there, but if it is so great, why do so many people from the Philippines come to America? Why? I am not saying the Philippines is all bad, but I am saying, that it is not any better than anywhere else.

Yes my friend. I am a fully blooded Filipino living here in the Philippines. There are lots of things here that are great but not all because there's no perfect country ever existed unless it would a Paradise. There are so many Filipinos migrating to U.S. because they think they could have greener pasture there compared here and that's precisely true. The only problem in our country is how our government runs our country. We belong to the third countries and we are still developing the best for us.... Thanks for responding my friend... Filipinos seek to find more opportunities abroad, our country is consider a third world country and we need help from 1st world country to help boost our economy.. that's mainly the reason why Filipinos need to travel abroad.. Every country has bad and good side.. it depends on us, on what we choose to do or not..

i still believe that this is an isolated case and do not manifest the country negatively or even the entire PNP. and what i have read above, more people believe this is not a reason for condemnation of the entire Philippines. but we really have to feel sorry for this happened.

still waiting for more funds to come. but we also have letters to one government owned corporation requesting for their assistance. once we have enough money or someone will agree to should part of the estimated expenses, we will let everyone know if the surgery will be scheduled. we hope and pray, the surgery will be done very soon. thanks for asking.

No one should condemn an entire country for the actions of a single person. A person who claimed was born there said he was a part of the population that as a child he sent weeks going to bed without eating. So losing a job there is a big deal. Still I cannot help but to wonder what kind of job he really espected, losing a policeman job, and trying to get it back by taking hostages.

The suspect was a former senior police officer. He was expelled for some fraud and anomalies involved which what he demanded (to be back again) at the time of tourists' abduction. I think his mind was just darkened why he did this. On my part, we can't judged him because we never knew the weight of his problem. What is my concern is the worst situation that ended with the lost of eight people which could be avoided should the authorities have a proper execution of the solution. I feel sorry for those foreign nationals who ended their lives at midst of their vacation here in the Philippines....that was really disgusting!!!I am really sorry

every country has a dark side...The word sorry is very important. It means that you regret an action of yours and hurt someone. Since you didn't do anything wrong, you should stop apologizing. feeling bad for what hapenned would be the proper terms.

You don't have to apologize for something that happened in your country. It could have happened anywhere. Every country has good and bad and there is always a bad or crazy person that doesn't reflect on the rest of the population.

even anyone of us is highly and professionally trained there is some situation that unavoidable, can't handle and hard to control because the action a person is unpredictable.so all we have to do is be prepared and alert. i feel sad about the hostages drama happened yesterday. but i think it is an isolated case and does not generally a threat to all tourist in the country.it can be happen anywhere side of the word.
