In yesterday's hostage drama at the Quirno grandstand that killed many tourists was such a shocking event, not only to the Filipino people but to all the people of the world. The Philippines became the center of attention yesterday. What surprised me most was how the driver managed to escaped despite the fact that his left hand was handcuffed and attached to the wheel. In an interview, I learned that the driver was able to free himself from the handcuff through the use of a nailcutter. It wasn't specified though how he did it. Anyway, it was such a bold move for the driver to do such thing in the midst of the hostage taking. I salute him for that.

hi dorisday that was a smart and courageus thing the bus driver did and it saved his life. I would not have known how to use a nailcutter to do that but he kept his cool and he got out of the mess.

now there is a question if it really did happened. they say it would be very hard to use a nailcutter to free yourself with a handcuff.

Kudos to the nail cutter that he have when the situation so warrant. This thing that he revealed just gave idea to the would be criminals and others who were being handcuffed by the authorities for any wrongdoings done. I think the manufacturers should modify their products taking into consideration the story of the driver in the just concluded hostage drama in Manila.

I also salute him for that I am just against of the police that they want to investigate him as connivance of Rolando Mendoza. I mean they claimed that it is impossible that you could do something within the nail cutter to handcuff. Oh My God! Hello what an investigation? Don't they see him very traumatic already?

I think in times like those you will be able to analyze the situation and instead of screaming the driver thought of another way which is to free himself. That's definitely a bold move for him. But either way if you are in his case you might even do the same.
