I am very indeed sure that NONE of us liked what happened. If the chinese people went mad because of this, then they have the right to. I mean, wow, remember how "WE" the FIlipino people gets really mad globally when ever we feel discriminated in some movies, series or any where in Television. I believe foreigners in other asian countries wouldn't be mad if the situation was handled well. believe me, i have watch the other nations on how they handled hostage situation. sadly, it was brilliant compare to ours[ But Let's CHEER UP. time will flies am sure good things will happen soon. there's a reason for this.i bet, Have a blessed day to all!

Don't worry, this incident doesn't really bother since I wasn't the one responsible. second, only bunch of racist and short minded people have the guts to hate the entire nation and not the one's responsible. as for me, I am moving on. Let them be the disrespectful and revengeful.

LaadieGerald, Thank you for your sharing a very optimistic insight and being so much senior in years I am just surprised how you can easily put certain critical issues behind with such commendable speed. I suppose you would call this recovery and moving on. What do you call it? Pinoy spirit? Let's see Rizal Bombing, Glorietta Bombing and now the Luneta Park Hijack which by far had proven nothing than your country being very dangerous and ill-prepared to handle emergencies or better worded TERRORISM. If all of you plan to put this siege behind your minds and not pressure your country's authorities to wake up and improve from it, then all I can say that your children and their future could all be in danger of being killed by such incompetency. And, the deaths had been nothing but vain. Please recall the events hijack, casual negotiations, indecisiveness at the boardroom, the botched rescue attempt, fatalities, photo taking sessions with nice smiles by Filipino police officers investigating the crime scene and your President smiling at the crime scene visit. Do you think Chinese and myself are disrespectful and revengeful here? I am sorry but along with what has happened as stated above and the responses from various Pinoys - I just stand to be chastised and differ.

WERE NOT STUPID! if that is what you're trying to imply. we know those problems and regarding the so-called glorietta bombing? Letranknight was there too, he didn't tell you didn't he? i believe it wasn't a bomb but rather a composed gas in the basement that caused the explosion. cops been searching for it for days and there was no bomb. the police had been criticized on those findings. you speak of too much hate when you keep reminding us about the bad things that happened. I am sorry WE HAVE TO MANY BAD THINGS as far as i can recall. if you have problem with people smiling on the crime scene, even though the bus had been removed, fine! don't put your stupid seniority here, this isn't about your being here in mylot. this is about what happened! you gotta problem with the president smiling even though he had apologize already, then go to his face book fan page and stick your toungue there! we don't want to spent the rest of our lives hating, too much grief and anger. were not like you! we got SO MUCH problem already that such hate fit into every pinoys heart that are congested with bad experiences! who cares if Philippines is a dangerous country now? people had been putting/looking down on filipinos for more than a decade, anyway. i wonder, when other chinese dying on another country, how come there was no nationwide outrage! and ONLY this one! full of hate. am sick of this. and don't bother because you're hateful speech is sick....

both has actually done, even for Filipinos. it's just that we were too busy with defending our reputation, which i believed now is useless. since most of us are actually not doing our part for the country. i believe this is also a wake up call for every one to try to be angry at small things.which has now been back fired on us.

Lets just hope that those people are as forgiving like us. True time flies fast but what happened is not something that can be forgotten by the victims and their family members. Let's just learn from past mistakes (which i doubt).

Hello ybong, i don't know. the people of hongkong will remember this for a long time. and our OFW will suffer more than anyone else had ever experience in the social networking insults on facebook. i think the cops didn't learn their mistakes or simply was too nervous to apply their training in actual use.

I must say I'm upset about this incident, the situation is not professionally handled by the authorities. My opinions and views may differ but I will still say it, its the PNP's mistake for the deaths of this innocent people. They may be thinking that they handled it the best way they could but sad truth is they did not really. Foreign had their rights to get mad because we really have a dis-functional police officials..What triggered PSI Mendoza to kill those people is simply the things that the officers did,the officers need not need to harass the brother of said hostage taker, they didn't have to create another commotion that will trigger the hostage taker to panic.. another thing is that I am ashamed of the police officers who handled this drama. they do not have the right to boast nor show any signs of being proud because they fail their mission to rescue the remaining 15 lives aboard on that bus..I had seen the news and the officers were boasting about the police men acting brave about the said incident. hence, they could have saved those Chinese national's lives if they pretended that that they will give him what he wants, yes there is a due process that must take place but what can the due process can save if for once they decided to set it aside, it can save innocent lives and can save the shame of our own country..if only they pretended that he will be reinstated or say they will really reinstate him, didn't they even bother to analyze that PSI Mendoza cannot even use his demands given because he simply violated the law and he must face the charges and can never get back to position..I'm simply disappointed. BIG QUESTION IS..WHAT CAN PNOY DO NOW?

Hello Angel, i watch the news. it seemed that mayor lim and other high ranking officers were preparing a statement with a paper about re-instating him. but i guess the media fiasco of arresting the hostages brother screw things up. we are all disappointed in this manner, i hope that this will not repeat again.

letran do not feel too bad my US has had its share of awful things that might have been prevented or cou ld have been handled better like the Columbine school massacre in which this fat angry teen gunned down a lot of' people. afterward the school officials admitted he had been bullied a lot in school and picked on. this left me dumbfounded as surely the school psychiatrist cou ld see he was in need of mental help. an angry mentally confused teen with emotional problems and able to get weapons..

but i doubt the whole other country would go bad against them. i remember the hostage that has involved asians as hostage takers, i didn't see any country that has shown outrage by this. this proves that if a lower or third world country fails to save lives, we get butchered on.

Yes, we should move on. We were brought to anger once during the execution of Flor Contemplacion in Singapore; however, that's a different story. But the point is that we reacted violently before. We cannot blame the Chinese for behaving such after the incident here in Manila. I too will clamor for heads to roll if I'm in there position.

hoping for the better is one good thing to think about. our police officers are not prepared for things like this. it is very bad for them to say it on TV that they lack in training. so what are they doing all this years? this is another challenge to our government to make it better. i hope our nation's leader is taking it all in and thinking something that can make it better. i too am hoping for the better. i have friends and relatives who are going to china next month to buy goods that they will sell this coming christmas season but there is a travel ban from china. but i am still hoping and praying for the best.

Hello Seven, you know, personally i think they panicked and screw up. from the news update. they were practicing the usual type of assault on the bus. but what happened is that some how, during the actual exercise, the cops actually didn't climbed up to their fellow comrades body as lader to shoot the hostage taker. they got scared somehow since they can't get in.

Well for one...Venus did make it to the top 5 even though a lot of critics did not like her answer at the Q&A portion. Unfortunately though, the hostage drama is not something that would easily disappear from our history in the near future. It would greatly affect the economy and tourism and it will be a sure challenge for the current administration. Our PNP clearly lacks training about handling such difficult situations. Anyway, let's just hope our new President can come out with something that would help bring up the faith of tourists again so that they start visiting our home again.

Hello Yuna, Well, she did have a ranking even though it's just the 4th runner up, that's already something big. i think the hostages was mostly focused this week rather than the Miss Universe pageant. but am glad that not all in our country is suffering but also some are happy because of Miss Universe. i can't believe we had this experience.

That is so optimistic of you, Knight, seeing the goodness out of this dreadful incident. Well, this is just more than a case of discrimination.Lives were lost in our land... Sadly, but we should be held responsible for it...It'll be ages before we can reach to the point when we are so equipped to dealt with such situation. Yeah, sure thing, dear. We should not wallow on this one, instead, stand up and try to move on. Let this be water under the bridge now ( really?). There'll be a ot of things to do still and things will be better soon for all of us... Be blessed, dear.:)

Hello Eureka, thank you. we maybe facing anger from hongkong or the whole china through social networking, but our OFW is greatly suffering there since they most don't treat filipinos same goes with other asians. we are so different from other asian countries. i hope we could do more something to make up with our mistakes even though it wasn't our fault.

I agree with you, it's not the end of the world for us Filipinos. Time will pass and this will slowly be forgotten. So we should move on with our lives although its not easy for those who were involved and their relatives. We are also in pain because our nation are being ridiculed for the action of just one man named Rolando Mendoza.

Hello jake, but probably it's another trial that we need to pass and get over with. it's sickening when ever i remember it. that's why we should try our best to cheer up, make the best of the day and move on. but we will watched over the cops for their future performance. another bad image from our cops, but i know they did their best, out of nervousness.

Incidents happened in many countries. We normally learned something after every incident (hopefully). When there was a bombing in Bali which killed hundreds of people (mostly were Australian), it was quiet a shock for all of us. Now we know that no where is really save, not even in our own home. We can only move on and be more cautious. Hotels now have security bar and check at the front gate before any guest entering a hotel.

This is indeed a sad incident and it is hard to cheer up. I feel sorry for the Chinese tourits who lost their lives just wanting to see the Philippines. I feel sorry for the loved ones they left behind. But most of all, I feel sorry why these incidents happen, not only in our country but elsewhere. What is happening to humanity? I've read incidents from other countries where people go to schools and just shoot anybody on sight. I watched Oprah interviewed ladies who were victims of a man who wants to spread AIDS. Why? I really wonder why these things are happening to our world now.
