I never thought I'd be a student at my age (58) but here I am and I picked the toughest course I could find---Medical Coding. I just can't get my brain around it and I'm only on lesson 4. For reasons unknown, I was drawn to this course and I usually try to follow my intuition, but right now, I'm overwhelmed. Are there any other Medical coders out there that wouldn't mind lending a helping hand? I am totally lost. I haven't had to use my brain in this manner since I graduated high school in 1970. I'm hoping that I can work as a coder and eventually work at home, but now I'm having my doubts. There is too much information and it's all so confusing. I won't give up though, I need the work. I could really, really use some advice and some helpful tips.
