Now, before I even start I'm just going to clarify what I mean by scariest movie. I don't mean a bloody, disturbing movie that scares you because it's just really gross as you watch it. I'm talking about a movie that genuinely scares the living crap out of you. I truthfully haven't been scared whatsoever since I was about 7 when I watched The Exorcist. Nowadays, even that movie doesn't scare me anymore I can watch the movie and laugh at it. A couple movies that kind of scare me in the past little bit I would have to say is as follows: -The Shining -The Chronicles of an Exorcism -Quarantine -Devil's Rejects -Suspiria -The Silence of the Lambs What do you ladies and gentlemen out there think are the scariest movies out there?

The scariest movie for me is Hostel. It is so violent and bloody. I don't understand why there will be so sick people who have the pleasure by torturing others. I feel uncomfortable to watch it. This is why I even don't watch Hostel 2. I love China

I think none of the modern horror movies today can surpass any of Lucio Fulci or George Romero's horror film classics about zombies, evil spirits and psychotic killers. One recent horror pic worth mentioning is Jeepers Creepers. Truly a shocking ending that is unconventional in any Hollywood type horror movies.

I love scream. My favorite actress is Neve Campbell and I think she did a wonderful job. Excellent movie. One of the best horror movies I've ever seen. Wes you're an awesome director and Kevin you're definitely one of the best writers. I've watched this movie so many times and I was so happy that it turned into a trilogy. Excellent endings to the movies, you gave great hints to who it might be but never let on who it actually was. I wish Randy didn't die though in the second movie, he should've lived until the end. But anyway like Randy said "trilogies are rare in the horror genre but they do exist", thank god for that! Have a nice day everyone!

I have seen a lot of scary movies over the years. horror films are my favorite ones to watch. I would have to say the Exorcist would be the scariest film for me. Watching Linda Blair's head spins around is still as disturbing today as it was the first time i saw it. Moments in that film can still give me chills. It's one of those films I can't watch by myself.

Hi, I'm a HUGE horror movie buff and I've seen tons of it. Usually horror movies don't scare me that much, but depends what you find scary. As horror films go, I'd rate 'Audition's suspense and the 'uncanny' and 'Descent' as hell for claustrophobes! But really, really, genuinely scary? 'Come and See' by Elim Klimov. You'll never see the world quite the same way after that. And it's all based on true events.

Every horror or suspense movie I ever watched is really scary for me. Sometimes I get nightmares after watching those types of movies. The movie The Shining is from Stephen King's book with the same title, right? I've read that and it's really scary. The Exorcism has been on the tv for a lot of times now but I still don't have the courage to watch it. I really don't like watching scary movies but sometimes they are so interesting I can't help but watch. But everytime I do, I make sure I watch it with someone.

I avoid any modern scary movies, because I'm a big old chicken. But, I did watch Psycho, and that scared me. Worst, it was nighttime, I was all by myself in the house, and I was on the phone with my cousin who took great delight in telling me that someone was in the house ready to get me.

Hi, You mean horror movies of course. There are violent movies that they call horrors. But they make me throw up. Very disturbing indeed. I guess I've long overcome the scare factor. At the beginning even reading ghost stories scared me. I don't know why I love to be scared. After reading a few books I didn't fine them scary enough. So I started watching scary movies. At first they used to scare me a lot, but even after a few days they couldn't provide for my daily doses of fear. So I tried watching them in the dark, at night. I overcome even that. I searched for new movies, but found nothing scary. Sometimes growing courageous is not profitable. A few movies that I loved watching were, The Others The Grudge The Ring Exorcism of Emily Rose The Omen The Exorcist Child's Play Bram Stoker's Dracula The Entity The Salom's Lot

I used to think that all the chuckie movies were horrifying especially since I hated dolss. But now that I actually see them with my eyes open well I don't see how they can be scary ...I think of them more as suspenseful. Anyways I think the grudge movies are scary especially the third one. I really can't think of really scary movies that I have seen. it's been a while since I have found a good movie that gives me a scare. I want to see one that won't allow me to go to sleep at night because I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it.

I would say it's the chucky series. It's more related to real life, and thus makes it more scary. Imagine the toys i have in the room, starts to come alife at night?? They want to take revenge on me, based on the way i've always been treating them?? The image just keeps playing in my mind. Now that i have grown up, i do get a little jitters over that chucky series, and scared of ugly looking toys too. I still watch the movie, because it's nice, but i can't help feeling scare at the same time.

I would say Jaws. But that was a long time ago. But these days I'm not into scary movies any more. I prefer romantic comedies with happy endings. I'm trying to live a more peaceful life. I find the world is scary enough. I don't need to watch movies to scary me even more.
