Who will eventually take the hot seat at Villa Park? Do you think Kevin MacDonald will continue and become the permanent manager? I think Martin O'Neill had left behind a very good squad for the successor. Although James Milner had left, i think Stephen Ireland can fill the void and be the playmaker for Villa.

I hope this remains just a rumor for Aston Villa. Kevin MacDonald is any day going to be a much better choice than Sven Goran Eriksson. Sven has been on the move since quitting the English job hardly enjoying any success at any of these places. So I hope for an up and coming club like Aston Villa, a big salary drain in the form of Sven Goran should definitely be avoided. Cheers! Ram

I couldn't agree more. Sven is nothing but a leech, he certainly wouldn't be in it for the success (as he never has any over here, including England), he'd be in it for the money, whereas MacDonald has been there for years and deserves his chance, in my view.

Kevin MacDonald deserve some credit for helping Martin O'Neill building the squad Villa have today. However if the board decide to find a new manager with more reputation, who do you think best fit for this job?

I think they did a big mistake in letting Martin O Neill leave. Now for their budget I think the ones available would be the likes of Martin Jol or they need to try out any new young manager. I think KM might be the best way forward for them at least for one season. Look at what Hughton has done for Newcastle!! Cheers! Ram
