Yes I have to say it matters sometimes. It depends on who the person is. If it is someone I want to value my opinion and my thoughts then I try to respect theirs. We only learn from other people about life. So we must care what someone thinks or else we will be forever dumb. It's not good to believe you are always correct, you should always question, even yourself. You may find out some things about yourself. Examine everything a little more closely and give a dam a little more. Or else you will be one lonely foolish person.

see people i am reffering to are strangers and obviously you also will not care about them, if we respect someone and care we will surely care :. Its lie we are out side and we are consious about others :)

I think you mean more of do we give common courtesy. Are we polite and mannered to people we don't know or do we care if they think we are jerks. I think anyone who respects themselves will show respect to a stranger unless they are treated otherwise by them.

well I do if they are p eople that I like or love, or even respect as nobody is always perfect and if some person whose viewpoint I respect says something to me I will listen even if I might not change what I am doing. if we are talking about complete strangers I will not care unless its evident I am doing something wrong. I am not so gone on myself that I cannot listen to someone else's opinion.

see its not that who all agreeing to this are doing something wrong, but in life we have seen any people who are just making fun of you or trying to put down of no reason,so why should we care :)

I can say that sometimes what others are thinking and saying bothers me. In as much as i would want to ignore them, i just really can't. It's just hard to ignore them because i sometimes see that what they are saying is for my own good. It sometimes helps me but there are really time that all of it are negative criticisms that sometimes lowers my self esteem.

see first of we should beleive in ouselves and this doen`t mean we should have over confidense... we should also know our limits which will helps us a lot and shoul kick all the negative comments which try to lower our esteem. :)

Nope! It doesn't bother me at all. I respect their own opinion of me either negative or positive. :)
