There is no doubt about it, people put their real infos on Facebook that is why the circle of friends there are limited because some people are not very comfortable sharing their bios and status with everyone. It is different in other social networks like Mylot or Mypage5 because our "friends" here are only friends online and they are total strangers offline. I have a question: would you want your friends here, on this site, to become your friends in Facebook? That means to say your real self will be made known to your online friends, particularly here in Mylot. Or would you rather have separate friends on this site and in your Facebook?

Seriously, No. I would not add my mylot friends in my facebook account, not unless if facebook would open a branch of itself where we can still have these discussions, and earn from it. he he but apart from that.. i would definitely not consider. I am sure taht a lot of my mylot friends would agree with me on this, we do not even have little chats here in mylot so what difference would it make if we have to add them on facebook? I guess its just not a very great thing to do...

I like to have my Facebook for communicating with co-workers and family and a few old classmates. The paid social sites I belong to I like to have friends with common interests, but I don't know them in "real life". Usually on the paid sites I like the anonymity because its easier to have an objective point of view to answer questions when you are not immediately involved with it.

No, I wanted to have different circles of friends. Here in myLot and in Facebook. I don't want to add friends in facebook that are friends of mine here. I just don't want to share other infos to my friends here. My facebook friends are only those i know of personally, other request whom i don't know, i really don't add them or just ignore them. I know it may be rude to others, but it my preference so i hope many will respect that.

cutie as you might have seen facebook has become very messy and anyone can post or intrude your privacy, i know we can hide our stuff but why!.
I am happy with my lot this way, as i have stopped using face book i will not be willing to make friends there anymore :)

I am very new the the MyLot community, but once I accumulate friends on MyLot I would not like for them to be my friends on Facebook. I used Facebook as a means to keep up with people that have somehow been a part of my life. Mostly people that I went to school with and am unable to keep in touch with on a daily basis via phone or email. Relationships developed within MyLot should be just that!

Personally I see nothing wrong with having Friends here being Friends of mine in Facebook and knowing who I really am, and if God ever gave us a chance, even find time to eventually meet. I have made many wonderful Friends in here who I consider a friend, and have shared many personal things about me in here as well as Facebook so for me I guess it is are you too scared to reveal the real you?

I don't have facebook
even if I did, I would only connect with very few people from here anyway
I don't go with quantity, only quality :)
friends online I only have less than 10 people and I have been joining forums since 1998, that's small amount I know
friends in real life are even lesser LOL
most people I keep them acquaintances, not friends
some people can't live without a lot of friends, surrounded by them and all
I think they'll go with that idea

In my case I would still choose people from mylot if ever they will be interested to become friends with me on facebook. However it would be easy for me to do something on privacy settings in the sense that I could categorized all people according to how am I related to them. Honestly if that is from mylot then the setting would be like they can't see my personal infos and other photos for the security. I can have them as my online chatter or a buddy.

I think it doesn't matter that let the online friends know about your real life.why not? you can communication and know more about or share each other,that's deserved .

For some reasons, i do like to have some friends who are merely cyber friends. It is easier to voice out concerns, get advice etc without fearing people will laugh at you in person. I think cyber friends are more open to discussions and are not directly related to you hence less embarrassment when we discuss something sensitive compared to the friends which are very close to you physically.
Happy mylotting and do enjoy having many cyber friends :D

id rather keep my profile confidential, at least here you can be yourself and no one will personally know you, you can express everything you want to say, give your views and opinions to topics and enjoy making friends to strangers..haha

I am on facebook and to be honest with you i think that face book causes more trouble than it is worth,so i only go on there to leave friends messages in their inbox as that way noone else knows what you are writing,aswell as that noone know where you are meeting up,so it is safer todo an inbox.As for the status things on there i think that it is a waste of time,as most people put that they are going to have a bath,going to the loo.

I have a limited number of friends, my choice, on Facebook. I have always had a problem sharing my person life with people I don't know. Society is getting to be a place where there are people who will go to any length to retrieve your personal information and then burn you to a crisp.
I like talking to my friends on myLot, because we don't know each other, just through written communication. I think it is nice to just sit and chit-chat with anonymous friends who likes talking back without any strings attached.

Yes i also don't have add any my mylot friends on Facebook or Myspace or any other social networking website.. i have only one friend on mylot who are connected to me on facebook.. but i know him personally.. because he is one of the my best friend.. but no other friend i add on facbook or any other social networking website..

I have 2 facebook accounts: one for people i know and the other for other people. I have lots of friends on my other facebook account and i don't share a lot there. I share the more personal stuff on my other facebook. Also, I have both these accounts on high privacy settings so that people who are not my friend cannot view anything from there. If anyone here will add me on their facebook, I'll give them the more public one. I will not add them to the other unless I become close to them and I trust them.
