cover your face in pollution???

now a days whenever i go outside i see many girls especially covering thei face totally with a cloth to cover their face from pollution.......it did took quite a time for me to understand why did they cover their face....lol.
do u also cover ur face in traffic/pollution?
of course the traffic is very much and i can see the smoke surrounding us in the traffic....

Hi dear,
Yes, even I have notice the same. They cover the face and head with a scarf and may some used to use sun glass also. I even though they may be walking through the sun and have to protect their skin from the sun.
Can be a reason with the excessive pollution in the air. I have not used the same and used with the environment. But, by doing so, atleast certain point of pollution can be controlled.
But, how long we will continue the inconvenience?

Hi dear,
Even I found it so strange. Those girls were totally covered excellent dressing with churidar. A scarf covered by head and rotated around the neck. She used the dupatta hiding even the forehead and hair also finally a wide glassed sun glass. I looked at her again and though of few comments in my mind, Oh! What a coincidence.
Yes, we cannot ask, just have a look and I moved away. But noticed many girls dressed like that. The exact reason they only know!!

i cant cover my face like that when going out....well sun glasses are f9 while driving a 2 wheeler but covering face would be suffocating for me...

The earth is getting more and more polluted. Sad that man is so destructive. We need to stop polluting so much and plant more trees and plants to clean the air.

That is so true. One day we'll wake up living in a dull earth, no tress, no color, no life. Just like what we often saw in Sci-fi movies. No life! Totally boring place to live. I don't think i can survive in that kind of living. In this earth, i think only few of us really care about our environment. There are only good in saying their concerns but they are actually doing nothing to stop the problem. A little contribution in the environment would help a lot. If we only do our part we can save the earth before it get worst.

Nop I don't cover my face. There is also alot of pollution at downtown but I mostly walk indoors than outside. I do feel it is suffocating sometimes when I walk near a traffic though. I would suffocate even more if i had to wear a mask. It would be wiser to fix the problem than masking the problem.

Hello there. For you to understand girls are conscious when it come to their skin special the face. Usually girls cover their mouth and nose with hankie if they are riding in a public utility vehicles to avoid inhaling pollution. Second when the pollution is intolerable and it is so dusty we usually do that to avoid dirt penetrating in our face which eventually cause skin problem. We hate pimples and we don't want our face to be exposed in dust or any sort of pollution(causes aging).

A lot of girls are pretty much conscious when it comes to their face. We hate dirt coming in our hands, how much more the dust and dirt getting into our lungs and into our face! I do cover my face with a hanky when i ride public utility transportation just so to avoid the dirt from getting into my face and pollution from getting into my lungs. i can say that it is important to cover your nose and mouth or your face, cheeks to chin, so you won't get any viruses from the people sitting next to you. You just wouldn't know what viruses or illnesses they have that my be communicable.

hi frozenphoenix I live in California in the United States and the pollution where I am is really almost nil so I never cover my face.I
can understand you are in India and perhaps close to manufacturing plants or some source of pollution?

yea there are a lot of industrial areas around here and people who use vehicles rarely go for pollution check.
i see pollution chcks here and there and i used to wonder y do no ppl go for pollution chck even when they can see that the condition of their vehicle.( i mean the amount of smoke that comes out).

I only cover my mouth and nose with hand or handkercief, if there is an air pollution around my way, it looks strange wearing a mask when walking if i'm late cover my mouth and nose, i just holding my breath lol

Hi frozenphoenix, yeah we have much pollution in the Hyderabad, traffic pollution, factory air pollution etc., i feel it is better to cover the face with some scarf to protect the girls face otherwise their face and hair will effect badly.

Is it really because of pollution or just because of they are the Muslim? I know of some Muslim women will wear a face mask to cover their face for public. Are they wearing a black blouse? If yes, then they are most probably a Muslim.

i guess u are wrong.....its not because they are muslim because
1.they dont wear a black muslim gurkha.
2.i am myself a hindu and i know many of my relatives who cover their face in pollution.
so we can say that they cover their face to protect it from pollution.

well i used to see my mother covering her face whenever she was going out in sun but one while she was coming back from her office at night she was covering her face so when i asked her she told me it just to escape the unbearable pollution and she even advises us to cover like this
