Do you ever feel hopeless? What do you do when being desperate? Did you cry? Do you yell?

I do it all..I yell, I cry, I talk out loud, I contact friends. All we can do indahfth is keep on going. I think if you let it out once in a while you're better off instead of keeping everything all bottled up inside. I've been out of work forever but keep trying to come up with ways to keep busy and make extra money somehow. It's very hard and I feel sorry for anyone else in the situation as I can fully understand it.

Thanks Hatley, I've been sort of doing this for over a year already. Everyone just about knows I'm out of work and people have been helpful. My age is against me and there's nothing I can do about it. And right now, I don't have a car, nor could I afford to take a bus, the prices have risen so much it's ridiculous. But thank you!

I have felt this alot in my life time....But when I'm in the moment sometimes I will cry or just yell or have a silent moment....But if I dwell on it then the negative thinking will come into play for me and I don't want that I wanna be happy and think positive and that is what helps me overcome alot as well as praying to God to help me through and believing he won't give me anything I can't handle....

hi indahfth oh I went through this for the past year and a half from hopeless to hope and back but kept asking God for guidance and now things are looking up and after all this time my Son finally has a job and we can once again in time with some money accumulated get back into a two bedroom apartment and I can live this gosh awful retirement center and that will be the ultimate good; for now this is a haven for me instead of being homeless and on the street.I have wept yes and I have yelled but ultimately thats not what helps anything. Smile and be happy and believe in God in all confidence.

yes, i had ever felt hopeless. i cried but i didn't yell. crying will help me to release some problems in my mind. usually i cry when i pray to ask some solution and some helps from God. it is very nice if we believe that God won't let us alone. if there is a problem there will be a solution. I believe that. Do you?

When I despair, there's nothing else I can do other than cry. In fact I've hurt myself because it was desperate. But God still reminds me, to be patient and keep trying to live with the strong. I am so thankful God still reminds me.

Hi indahfth~ I used to cry and yell when I would get angry and upset. I don't do this anymore, at least very rarely. I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and given some medication to help me with my chemical imbalance. I still get depressed and upset, but not as badly as I used to.

It seems in this day and age it is all to common for people to feel hopelessness. I feel it myself sometimes. I cry, sometimes crying just makes you feel better. It's like it washes away the sadness. I find usually it makes me feel a lot different after.

If God is truly your friend he will be there beside you when all is looking bleak. If things are really desperate He will carry you until you can cope again. Remember 'Footsteps'. So a priority is to make God your special friend, get to know Him intimately and the closer you get to God the less you will have feelings of hopelessness.

if the truth that I often feel hopeless, unable to find a direction in my life, I leave things, I get depressed, I shut myself, I was isolated from the world, hoping to change my luck, I get angry, I am very I've row impotence, but if you do not change my attitude when I fall into these wells nobody's going to get there, it all depends on me, you fall to rise again, a mistake, fails, but everything is a learning get ahead and take the positive things even in the worst moments.

Due to all my current troubles I have to say I go through many moments of feeling helpless and hopeless. I cry at the drop of a pin. But soon after I remember God and I pray. I pray that although my troubles have not dissipated that he help me and allow me to be strong. It is my prayers and faith in God that helps me stand back up and continue trying if even to fall again.

Hopeless and related feelings are often caused by chemical inbalances in the body. Young people often go through these feelings due to the changes in their hormones. The elderly also experience these because their brains are no longer keeping the correct chemical balance within the body. One way or another I think all of us have had these feelings.

Yes I have felt hopeless and desperate in my lifetime and yes I cried and yelled! The worst time for me was when my husband was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder and did not yet have a suitable medication regime or the coping skills to manage the disease. I cannot describe how frightening his psychotic episodes were along with his delusions and strange behaviour. He became another person who was not the nice man I married. I was so afraid that the majority of the time I reacted with tears and anger which only enflamed the situation. It has taken years for both of us to learn to manage my husband’s condition and these days I have the wisdom to ask God for help and be more accepting instead of fighting the situation and when it gets too much I remove myself from the house and stay with a friend for a few days but I must say that these occasions are very, very rare these days and for that I am thankful.

Yes my friend there were lots of time I was so depressed in fact, honestly, that is what I am now. I have lots of financial problems which I don't know where to go to find solutions. This problems pressured me a lot. The problem that I hated most is the one that make me pressured. There were lots of times I would think of doing some other problem to solve my recent problem. I am afraid I could do some bad ideas to solve it. I hope not. What I did is just to pray hard and find some ways where I could produce that amount I needed. If there would be someone here who are generous enough to let me borrow $250 just to make me feel comfortable with my debts. Nowadays, I don't believe anymore if there's "robin hood" here on mylot who could let me borrow and let me pay it little by little... $250 how much is the equivalent of that in your currency my friend? Thanks, at least you make me ease the pressure I have in me today by expressing it to you... Thanks my friend indahfth...

Once I was totally desperate in life. I felt like dying. Then I left all my problems to God. No kidding, He gave me things I had never had before, a large sum of money which enabled me to make family a year afterwards.

Very good topic and my friend you sound like a pyschologist and I am going to tell what I do when I am desperate. I internalize my desperation and emtions. I do not speak up or cry or resort to violence so something like that. What it does when I internalize my emotions and desperations is that they backfired on me. They haunt in the night, I get depressed sometimes think about what appropriate action I should have take at the time and I did not. In other word, I regretted for being inactive. This also affected my self esteem. SO I am now begining to realise that I am address those situations front on. If I have to yell, I must, cry I must cry, shout I must do it. It helps and it is therapautic.
