Toothbrushes are favorite breeding places of germs, so they need to be changed two to three months after their first use. I change my toothbrush twice a month (every two weeks). If I don't change my tooth that often, I tend to get mouth sores.

Sorry, I meant "toothbrush" instead of "tooth."

I change my Toothbrush after two months. It's not safe for having the toothbrush for a long time due to infection.

I also don't remember the accurate time.Maybe I change my toothbrush witnin two or three months. When I was a kid, I never changed my toothbrush except it was broke.Because my parents didn't know that the brush hide much germs.and I also knew nothing about it.What's more, I like to had a regular toothbrush. When I knew the knowledge that I began to change it regular.

Interesting. I change mine when the brustles look funny, after about a year or so. Maybe I'll just sterilize it with hydrogen peroxide or something. No sense I can see buying things I don't need when the brush is perfectly fine. If one fears microbes so much, one should buy sterile toothbrushes and use them only once. That is the only way to be sure. Of course that is ridiculous, and personally I find more than once a year ridiculous. My opinion of course.

I change my tooth brush once in a year. But seeing your views about hygiene i may change my tooth brush once in 3 months in future.

I like to change my toothbrush about every two months. Dental hygiene is very important. having a toothbrush to count on makes a world of difference to how i feel about brushing my teeth each day. I also make sure my family changes their toothbrushes often as well.

As long as you keep your toothbrush clean, you shouldn't have to change it any more than every six months. Of course, that is the absolute maximum and you could argue that it is really pushing it. Still, a toothbrush can get ruined pretty quickly if you don't clean in regardless. Not just clean it, but soak it in water, to get the accumulated nastiness off of it, because really, if that stuff lingers on the toothbrush, you might as well not brush your teeth. Still, three to six months is about the average. Slightly more sometimes, slightly less many times, depending on the toothbrush. I've noticed that some toothbrushes can ware out pretty quick a lot of the time. So its going to be less a lot of the time. Still, keeping it clean can increase the longevity of it. Especially if you're like me and like to pinch every penny and don't like running out and getting a new toothbrush every other month.

ideally we should change brush after 2 mos. use, however, most of the times we cannot monitor how long we have been using the brush so much so that we often use it more than the medically advised timeframe!lol! msybe we should put a reference date on it everytime we started using one.lol!

Hi bettydeng5 Yes requirement for oral hygiene is change our toothbrush every 3 months, however, there are some toothbruch that gets destroyed easily for continuous use, so if that is the case, you can already change it and not wait for the allowed time.

I always change my toothbrush once a month or sometimes much earlier. Toothbrush must not last longer than two months cause germs may set in.

I do it too. Maybe at least 3 months or if the bristles are not anymore smooth. Also change it immediately when I get a canker sore. I have plenty of extra toothbrushes in case it happens.

Yes, I have read that it is necessary for us to change our toothbrush every 3 months. However, I usually don't keep track of the time and in the end, forget about the 3 months thing. Most of the time, I'll change my toothbrush when i see the brush hair becoming out of shape!

I change my toothbrush within the three month time frame. Sometimes I change it much earlier, depending on how my brush is feeling or looking. If you don't want to switch it out every month, maybe there is a way to disinfect it without destroying it, that way the germs are gone, but your toothbrush can still be used.
