your partner wants to leave you suddenly :( what you gonna do?

hi guys^^ what would you do if your partner suddenly said he wants to break up? and that you wont see him ever again? what would you do? would you ask him what he wants that? would you say ok just go i wont miss you anyway (in reality you miss but dont want to say your true feelings, like guys normally do ahah) or would you ask this person to dont leave you bcs you cant live without him or her? or another reaction that you guys think about please say^^ share your opinions please^^

I will ask him the reason first. Are there any problems between us and is there a chance to solve it. If he says nothing can be changed and he must leave me without any regret, I will let him away from me.
Maybe I will sad, but not depressed. I will not urge him to stay because he is not the person who cherish me any more.
Let him leave and look for another Mr. right. I am sure you will be happy.

I would definitely want to know why. If we've been in a relationship, I think I'd deserve an explanation at least.
