We all have some discriminations in some way or another... and we should never allow these things hinder us from enjoying life. It doesn't matter how we look, how much we weigh, how much money we have in our bank account, what color of our skin, which race we belong to, what faith we strongly uphold... BECAUSE ITS OUR HEART THAT IS WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT! And you will see, people will still love us no matter how we look from the outside or what status we have in this life... Saying that... We will surely know who truly loves us because they accepted us for who we really are

discrimination is all over the place. people base their judgement on the physical attribute or on the race of a person. i have felt discrimination when i was abroad. they treat filipinos there as servants only. they don't want to hire me for a higher position because they said that i can't do it. it is hard but all you need to do is prove them wrong.

TRUE INDEED! We always feel discrimination in other countries particular from the locals in that place... And the only thing to do is to prove them wrong with what they have pre-thought about us. Thanks for the wisdom shared

There are many things whereby one can be discriminated. Whatever u mention above are true, while skin color is the most obvious of them all. I just dun understand why skin color is a major issue with them. Unless those people are scared?? Being jealous that we will outdo them in the future and thus they are taking pre actions?? haha =D Really wish for the world to be discrimination free, so that we will have WORLD peace!! haha

Yes what is in our hearts are what is important. we should all be here for each other as brothers and sisters of the world.

In an ideal world this is the way it should be. In this world with the media splattering white, blonde haired gals all across the internet, in magazines and on tv and making us feel like this is what is attractive and so forth then this is what is really beautiful and everything else is defective and ugly.

I agree with you. I myself as a blind person often feel that kind of discrimination. But I am not going to talk about it, because I don't really care about it. What I would like to say, and I hope it can also be useful to people feeling discriminated, that it's important to us not to discriminate ourselves. In my case, even though I am blind I never close myself to the public. I al living normal life just the same like everyone else. And it willl, slowly, teach people to reduce their discrimination. Once again; If people do not want to be discriminated, the first thing to do is not to discriminate themselves.

Thanks for sharing a personal experience and giving the other side of the story. Indeed people are guilty of discriminating our ownselves as well like being too critical of oneselves, low self-esteem, negativism and inferiority complex. These shouldn't be the case, because if you want to gain respect from others you really need to have such respect for yourself as well. Again... thank you for your wonderful share. God bless

dISCRIMINATED THE WAY I SEE IT , PEOPLE WILL LEARN FROM IT AND BECOME AWARE OF OTHERS FEELING, ITS NOT A GOOD THING TO DO, BUT MAKE SURE IF YOU CAN SAY SORRY AFTERWARD DO SO TO BUILD MORE SPACE IS TO SHUT MORE DOORS. SO SAYING SORRY HEALS ANY THING. IN TIME IT WILL.

Yes you are right that saying sorry would help but it will all depend on the person youve hurt whether or not... he/she will accept it. But must be better not to hurt others feeling in the first place. Right? But anyways, thanks for reminding us to always stoop down and admit our fault to mend things and hopefully make things BETTER! God bless you and all of us as well

I really resent it that i have to pay more for clothes because I take a plus size while those skinny people can pay so little. But really it should not matter what we look like on the outside, it is what we are inside that counts. I maybe a bit afraid of people of other colors or nations, but that is because I do not know that what i consider normal (like eating with my left hand) may be considered a grave offense to them. And I have to fight the urge of trying to find out if that poor person is there because he could not find a decent job or because he was lazy. Of course, that does not mean, if you do not follow the moral rules of a church, that you can demand a position in their church school, or if you are a woman, that you can demand to go into a man's club, or a company can force a Christian to work on Sunday or a Muslim to work on Friday. But for personal views, we cannot shrirk someone because of how they look.

I really hate discrimination in any way. I agree with you on the fact that its heart that matters the most, we cannot judge a person by his build or color. When someone is discriminated it cause hate and division in the society, we should all try to see people through their acts and hearts but not trough their color. The world would be a better place if there is no discrimination and its never late so, lets all try to set aside those caste, color and creed and try to live in harmoney as we have bigger problems ahead of us.

I truly agree that if people truly love you and accept you, they will not see the blatant differences such as your weight, race, or other differences such as religious practices. Unfortunately, there are people who still aren't tolerant of other people's lifestyles and they discriminate against them. It's just sad that individuals have to put other people down to make them feel better about themselves. It can be truly hurtful if you are on the receiving end, and sometimes you can't just move on with your life so easily. For example, look at housing discrimination: it affects your way of life, where you get to live, and it truly sucks if you can't get a dream home because someone doesn't like the way you look or the type of life you live. Who are we as humans to judge other people? We should be focusing on making our lives better and being better people. Too bad not everyone sees it this way. This is why we have to instill certain values in our children so they don't grow up being hateful and hurtful towards others. The world would be a better place if we all worried about ourselves instead of other people.
