All three third place contenders/pretenders i.e. Man City, Tottenham and Everton dropped points. For Everton though it would probably be a point gained coming back from 1-3 down to salvage a point against Man U. Tottenham and Man City though would have expected all three points against West Brom and Rovers respectively, but could only salvage a 1-1 draw!! The other two contenders for the fourth place, Villa and Liverpool now have a chance to take advantage tomorrow and on monday!! What are your views on the race for fourth? Cheers! Ram

But did you see how they struggled against an average Birmingham side. I think it will take Roy at least one more year to rebuild this side. That too provided Gillet and Hicks move on!! Cheers! Ram

Chelsea are looking in fine form and I can't help but feel sorry for Grant at West Ham and hope things improve for him. I have a feeling Villa will do well this season but will still need more time till they settle down and find their groove. Liverpool have had a tough start to the season with their starting games but have not shown enough to convince me they deserve a place in the Top 4. Everton can hang on in the long run if they play the way they did against Man U and keep the scoring coming but they need to work on a more soild defence and not have to play catch up the whole game.

I think that Avram Grant was a stop gap arrangement at best. If you look at his career over the past few years that is what he has been doing all over the Premiership. First at Chelsea, then at Portsmouth and now at West Ham.
