I am one of the fortunate ones I suppose, I do not get the abdominal pains anymore, since the birth of my first child. I do however get achy from the waist down, knees, lower back, ankles and legs not in that particular order but all of it. I have learned to muddle through, as women we cannot be out of commission due to this monthly setback. We have to remember that it is what it is and well life goes on. Unfortunately.

I heard a lot about after giving birth it will stop. Well if its true I wish I could get pregnant and give birth soon. *if i only have a husband* [smiley] At first I thought I get lower back pain because of my scoliosis but then it is related with menstrual period sickness. And also the headache, Oh no, the pain is like someone is pounding your head :`( huhuhhu. I hope men understand what women experience during this period, monthly actually.

Men have no idea what we go through month after month. Although they make jokes it is no laughing matter. Do not rush to have child my dear as menstrual headache is nothing compared to a life of raising a child. , I know you are kidding and so am I. But there are so many women who wish not to have their monthly period then when unplanned possible pregnancy they pray oh dear God give my period.

hmmm.. I suppose that abdominal pain is caused by cramping of the uterine muscles. I suggest you try supplementing yourself with calcium daily and observe yourself after two months if cramping still persists. Take care my friend and have a nice day.

Well when I get my monthly period it's just awful for me. Like other women I do get the pain and I get bloated but my pain is so painful! And I vomit a lot and keep anything down. So those first two days it's just awful for me. What I do is I drink ginger ale and I find that most of the time it does help with keeping the food down. I also continue to excercise because in my case it does take away the pain after a while but it might not be the same for everyone.

i also experienced cramps during menses but the pain lessened after i gave birth. but i can still remember the pain every time i had my period. it felt like my abdomen was being twisted as if i was having diarrhea. back then, i would just take a pain killer because i had to go to school or work. unfortunately, menstrual cramps is not a valid excuse for absence. unless you have an underlying condition. my mom had myoma that's why she had severe bleeding and pain during menses. she would stay bedridden for 3 days every month. if the pain is too much, better see a doctor.
