Have you been out of a job for a long time? What was the longest time frame you had while being out of a job? How did you get yourself started after the long period?

Well I have been working since I was 11 consecutively. For the first time in my life I have been jobless and considered so overqualified no one will even as much as give me an interview. It is so really, really hard to say the least. You asked how long 9 months no job and no income, except what I can earn online. I keep plugging away hoping the job will land. My prayers and faith is what keeps me going although today is not such a great day, not so much.

Have to keep it positive, good way to go hardworkinggurl, keep turning those negitive vibes into positive, sorry to hear you have been without work for so long, you are doing the right thing though... I always tell friends and family.. thre is always a positive in everything that seems negitive, just have to keep turning out the positives and eventually there will be a break.

yes, it is so hard to make money! After getting different certificates and licences, all you get is debt. Good luck!

Hi. Lore2009. I have not worked in four years as of now. I will not go back to work at all. I can't stand up for five minutes without having some lower back pain in my back. I know that an employer will not stand for this type of issue on a job.

I'm so sorry you are going through that. It must be very tough but I hope you find other outlets even in your condition. Best wishes.

Here's a quote from Ted Turner, Founder of CNN: "My son is now an "entrepreneur." That's what you're called when you don't have a job."

When I had my daughter four years ago I decided to stay home with her and my son who was two. My husband was in the military so i was able to come home and go to school. My husband did a 6 month deployment and I was home with an iinfant and a toddler with no family or friends. When he finally came back I had to get out the house and around some adults so I went to work. My daughter was 2 and my son was 4 when I went back to work. It was hard to be away from them. I cried for months every morning that I had to drop them off at daycare. But i enjoyed the interaction with adults, lol.

That's good you were able to stay for your children, but it must have been so tough to have done it all on your own. I guess, there are pros and cons for everything. Thanks for sharing.

being a jobless for longer period is toughest time of life ....... i have been job less for 2-3 years ........ in that period i understand that doing hardwork is the only thing that can overcome me from that period ...... so keep hardworking and never letdown at any stage.

My husband graduated from his undergraduate studies and started looking for a job a couple of months prior to graduating. Unfortunately, he has been unable to find full-time work. It's lucky that he has been able to do some work for a professor, but it's only part-time work.

I work full time for 16 years and since I migrated, I become jobless for about 5 years now. It is very frustrating at first because I am used to be out all the time and for all these years I stayed home but then I was able to overcome my boredom when I found earning sites in the internet. When i started to work online, I enjoyed it and I forget the time. Now I am used to it. I still consider my online work as a job.. and this is good because I am the boss of my own time. I work when I want. I manage my own time. There is no pressure about anything.

I'm jobless for over 6 months until now. I don't have choice but to work online instead, unfurtunately, I didn't get enough to support my daily living. Though I earn extra bucks, but I'm still searching good income opportunity in online bases.

I think once for a few weeks but then got a job. I always had people after me to go to work for them. So it was never a problem. I guess I was blessed!
