Can anyone suggest any good books? My favorites are true crime and fiction crime novels. Any books though would be fine. Not really into that fantasy dungeons and dragsons stuff though.

Hello, It would be a little easier if you had told us more about your interests. I am not into fiction much. It is the non fictions that I like most. Recently I am reading humorous stories. I am reading a book by P.G. Wodehouse. It's amusing. I can remember another very funny novel by Jerome K. Jerome - Three Men in a Boat. I've never read anything funnier. I am also reading a book on psychology. After I finish P.G.Wodehouse I'll start reading some mythologies, preferably, Norse mythologies. But its still too early to plan my next move. Among crime fiction novels I don't think anything has bettered Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. Thanks. God bless you.

Hi angelface, If you like a fast paced crime thriller, go in for Alistair McLean or Desmond Bagely. But if you like some humor in a crime novel, try Lawrence Sander's "Archie McNally" series or "the deadly sins series" Another new Brit author who is very good is "Christopher Brookmyre". All his books are fantastic reading.

I love Tess Gerritsen and would recommend anything that she writes. Tess is a physician who writes mystery novels. The tv series Rizzoli & Isles is based on the characters in her books. I read mystery novels almost exclusively but a couple of years ago (as a result of seeing a mini series) I picked up "Beach Girls" by Luanne Rice and got hooked on her novels. Give this one a try. I think that you will soon become a Rice fan. Her novels are primarily set on the New England coast and I got so hooked on her books that we took a three week trip up the coast two years ago. I also like Stephen Fry. He writes mystery novels that are primarily set in the investment community. Happy reading

Have you read Ngaio Marsh's books? Her books are really clean in term of language use. When she wants to express vulgarity, she would say, "the rest are unprintable." Her books featured Chief Inspector Alleyn, a very likeable gentleman detective. I like her consistency in the characterization of the team.

Hello! Do you like James Patterson? I believe Dean Koontz has crime and stuff like that novels as well, though I've only read one of his books and not all the way through either. Then there's Chris Cavender, you should look him and his many aliases up. Here is a site I was given today so you can look up the aliases, as well as aliases of other authors if you so choose http://www.trussel.com/books/pseudo.htm !!! NOT A REF LINK !!! Diana Palmer is good, she does romancey type but with a bit of law enforeceent thrown in...
