i am an overseas contract worker. considering our life's condition in my country, i had to choose to get to a greener pasture to provide better life for my family. well, in expense of being away from them. i have finished my first contract of 2 years. i am now on my 2nd contract of another year. halfway done, i'm starting to think what's next after i finish my contract. shall i consider moving to another workplace? to start with, i had to choose this as it can provide more than what i can get from my country. now i am not safe and satisfied in my current workplace but still have to renew once more because i had no chance of finding another place. the thing is so confusing. i am not happy in my workplace now, but then, when i finish my contract, it will be another better offer plus another year of suffering and sacrifice. can you give me suggestions please. thanks to all.

It seems it is normal to be unhappy in a job. There seems to be many reasons ... e.g. no seen opportunity for better work conditions such as salary increase or more interesting tasks ... Perhaps a good long-term approach is to learn new skills related to the current job e.g. technological, management, entrepreneurship etc ... What do you think ?

thanks for your suggestion. well, i started to get even frustrated after sometime during my first contract. i commented on our superiors how come i am conducting continuing education to other staffs and i don't get any furtherance of mine from someone or somewhere else. they just ignored me by answering with complaints too. well, finally i found an update from the board that they will be conducting a basic training. at least i will have something for review and updates from my stuck stock knowledge then, i grabbed the opportunity at once. so far, that's just the only one i got in my span of 3 years from this company. i hope to find more if they won't hand it to me directly.
