To live here or there?

I currently live in the famous Las Vegas, NV where I've been born and raised and dispite all the tourism, I love this town to death. Throughout my years here as a young adult, I've considered many time moving away from everything I know just to be somewhere different, but as I've opened my mind to the true deep beauties and secrets of this town, I just can't imagine anywhere else. I figure I can visit any place in the world for cheaper anyway! So what about you dear Mylotter? Have you lived in the same place forever, or have you moved around a lot in your life? What do you like about your current living situation? Where would you consider living if you couldn't live where you are now?

I've lived in Utah my whole life and I definitely plan on moving once I can. I have only been to Vegas once in my life and it was with my family when I was young, so I didn't really get to enjoy the whole Vegas experience. If I lived in Vegas like you, I don't know if I would want to move. I think you would probably get bored if you moved to Utah because basically everything closes at 9. It's horrible. Of course there's clubs and things like that going on, but in no way comparable to the night life of Vegas for sure. I think that if you do move, you should probably move to another big city. If I could live anywhere, I think it would be somewhere in California.

The night life here is definitely a big deal, but suprisingly, I'm not a big fan of what people usually think of vegas night life to be. I'm not a big gambler, (except for the occasional penny slots), I only go to the strip for family or business related ventures, and I hate clubs...especially clubs haha. I don't like to stand around drunk people grinding on eachother and try to talk over super loud pop-remix music while debating whether or not the $9 dollar bud-light is worth it, but hey, that's just me. I do however love and always take advantage of the 24 hour lifestyle. Burgers and Bacon at 3 in the morning? Why not? My night life usually doesn't involve partying it up, but rather movie nights, or midnight picnics at the park. But don't worry, I'm the exception. There's plenty of people reenacting The Hangover every night in our fair city.

I just moved to Washington state and this state is the 6th state that I have lived in. I was born and raised in Ohio and my career took me to Michigan, New York, and Texas. I met my husband in Texas and when we married we moved to his native state of California. We decided that we would like to retire in Washington but I'm not sure that will be our final stop. I love to experience different areas of the country. I'm not sure yet where our next stop will be. We've been in Washington for 3 months but it will have to be somewhere that has an ocean so I suppose that we'll try the east coast next.

i grew up in a small town but now live in a fairly large city in canada. there are definite pros and cons to each. i love the small town vibe where everyone knows each other and helps each other out but i love the city because everything is at your fingertips and its easy access by transit.
