Best Italian Food

Oh My Gosh, I am obsessed with Italian food. In fact the first dish I ever learn how to prepare by myself was lasagna. My mom taught me when I was in middle school. But my love for Italian food began before then. In elementary school, my class was studying different foods so went on field trips to farms, factories, grocery stores and restaurants. My favorite trip was to Olive Garden where were toured the kitchen before sitting down and eating lunch. It was fabulous. But one of my most memorable moments dealing with Italian food was this little cafe in Rome, just outside of The Vatican. I was in high school at the time when I went overseas. At this small little place, complete with patio seating, they served us a bowl of spaghetti that was to die for. I absolutely fell in love with it. No where else can I get spaghetti that touched me like that. Do you have a moment that involves Italian food that is embedded into your memories for all of time? Why do you like Italian food?

I've not yet been to Italy but I love Italian food because my heritage is Italian and I grew up with it. Beyond a doubt, my very favorite Italian dish is linguini with clams. My husband and I are planning to visit next year and I would love to have the name of that restaurant.

I wish I could remember the name of that place but I'm sure you will find some wonderful restaurants. I hope you and your husband have a great trip.

No, I really don't have one, certainly not one like yours. I can tell you I also love italian food. My mom used to say I could eat spaghetti 7 times a week. My favorite is definitly Fettucini Alfrredo, but I limit myself to 2 or 3 times a year because I heard the FDA calls it "heart attack plate." But can youo believe this: As much as I love italian food, I still have never made it to Olive Garden. There's one about 20 minutes away from my house. I wanna go. soon.

I hope you go to Olive Garden. I know some people don't think it has very good authentic Italian dishes, but I like it.

HI VJENKINS I love Italian food and Lasagna is one of my favorites I like making it I put all kinds of veggies in it and about 3 different kinds of cheeses I only use the whole wheat noodles now they don't taste any different to me than the regular noodles. My family likes it too and its better for you I guess if you throw some cheese and sauce on noodles it may not matter to much if the noodles are whole wheat or not

I haven't made lasagna with whole wheat noodles yet, but maybe I should try it. Especially since its healthier.

I think the Italian kitchen is probably the best cuisine in the world, and I have been to many great Italian restaurants especially. I also cook Italian food at home. But my best memories are actually from some really nice restaurants.

I like Italian food because since I'm Italian I grew up with it. But I also like all other kind foods too. I just like food! My mom used to make her own sausage and when she made her pasta sauce with her own garden ingredients and put some of that sausage in the sauce...Mamma mia, it was so good!

My father gave my mother his parent's restaurant's spaghetti recipe and that's what we normally ate several times a year (and once it was made, we ate it out of the freezer once a week for a couple of weeks.) My defining moment was when I, being 2 years younger than my brother, learned to twirl my spaghetti on my fork before he did! I had to have been around 4.

I love Italian food too! For me they are the best tasting food that I can eat over and over again. I love pizza, spaghetti and that yummy lasagna. I am from Philippines and I want to go to Italy cause I can live in that country with their foods. I want lasagna now!

i love italian food too!especially lasagna, pizza, and spaghetti. lasagna is a very memorable dish for me. you see,i tried making lasagna for my girlfriend since its her favorite but i ended up making a disaster of a lasagna. my girlfriend though still thought it was the best lasagna she tasted, even if it looked kinda like not lasagna.:) for pizza, what makes it a dish to remember is its because of pizza that i learned to eat onions, bell peppers and other spices put on it. the immaculate blend of all the flavors just makes the taste so good. and for spaghetti, well its a complete meal bundled into one and its what me and my fellow mountain bikers always order when we go out for long rides.

My whole family loves Italian food. When I say love, I mean, we eat it everyday. We all like tomatoes, herbs and cheese. Pasta, bread and other italian dishes (risotto) are awesome. Lasagna is my favorite italian dish... you can do so many things with it. You can add all sorts of ingredients. You can make it vegetarian, fully cheesy, etc. The best moment I had was when I was a kid and I mace a whole lasagna by myself. It was fun and yummy.

I love italian food. I've grown to love italian sausage and lasangua. My favorite has got to be chicken alfredo. I probably cook that once ever 2 weeks atleast. I've been to the spaghetti house in st. louis a couple times and must say the food there is fantastic. i'd go back there any day of the week. Theres a local joint here in Bloomington, IL called biagias that has some really amazing italian food as well.
