We celebrate number of days for some reasons or other. Do you know that the week between September 26 to October 02 is being celebrated as "Joy of Giving Week". A full one week for giving joy to others. Probably, nothing satisfies us more than when we know that our certain actions or words have caused deep joy to some one we love or even to strangers. We become so immersed in our daily chores that we forget to give joy to others. I will like to tell you a small story. One day a ten year old child came to house where his father and grandfather were sitting. He immediately embraced his grandpa and said, 'Grandpa, I really love you'. His father simply witnessed the entire thing and he was a bit surprised for sudden change in the child. The grandpa beamed with joy and gave a very happy smile to his grandson. However, he also asked the reason for giving the hug all of a sudden. The child simply replied that his teacher had asked him to do so. Then the child also hugged his father and whispered the same words. This continued for days together. Both father and grandfather were surprised for this sudden change in the child and they decided to meet the teacher. The teacher asked both the persons how many times they had spoken such words to each other. Th message was clear. Next day, when the child hugged his father and grandfather, the child's father could not remain aloof and he also hugged his father and whispered "Dad, I love you very much". The atmosphere of entire house was changed now as if they had started a new life. You don't lose anything when you try to give happiness to other. Rather you feel so satisfied which you cannot get by using most luxarious items. Let us all try and give happiness to other particularly to elderly people in the family. They almost become cut-off from family as everybody remains busy with his/her work or daily routines. If we simply hug them in the evening and tell them how much we love them, they would have a very peaceful sleep during the night having a feeling that their own still love them. Think over it. I would also feel highly satisfied if your actions or words give joy to them.

hi udaymohan thats a lovely idea and wish we had something like that here in my own country the US.When You give someone your love it brings a great feeling to both of you and sometimes you and others can pass it on. soon a wonderful feeling of happiness and tranquility sweep over everone. Its nice to know that others care and when they smile and ask about you you feel that warmth and love. so when your own loved ones come to you you will want to share that glow too.We must tell our friends and loved ones we love them now and not wait as waiting might just be too'late.
