Reading backward?

I love reading books. But everytime I read 1st chapter, I end up reading the last chapter or before the last chapter. So I will know the story end up before I continue to read it all. Do you experienced it the same? Please share.

Yes. I definitely share the same sentiment as you. Sometimes, after reading 3 to 4 chapters, after I get to know more about the characters, I get curious, esp. about the ending. So I usually give in to temptation and take a peek at the last chapter, esp. the last few lines. Still, I still get to enjoy the novel even if I already know the ending.

I might read the back of the book if there's a summary about the book but I don't jump ahead.

Yes, everytime I buy books, I try to read the summary first.

Hahaha, same with me. After I read the headlines in front page, I turn the newspaper at the back. My wife was telling me that maybe I realy want to read the sports page first before the other news. I don't think so. :)

Its a bad habit , if we do like that we miss the thrill of the story

Yes, it's a bad habit, I don't know why I usually do that thing. For me I don't care about the mystery or thrill thing. I just do it.

Sometimes, before I read a book, I'd read the summary at the back and the ending parts of the story, see if it would get me curious. I also start reading at the end when I get bored with how the story is going to stimulate my reading.

I do the same. Sometimes I read the summary first before I buy it in the bookstore.

I though you're reading from left to right.. haha oh well.. sometimes when the story doesn't seem to be exciting anymore so that i can figure out if something different will happen.. but when the story was really nice.. i don't think i will thought to read the finale of the books.. co'z you will feel the excitement for every chapters you read...

hahaha, sorry for that. Actually my problem is even the book nice or exciting I always do the same, reading the last chapter. :(

Yes, but I read first the ending of the story before I buy it... hehehehe! I hate sad endings... even in the movies I watched the last part or ask someone who knew the movie if it was good or not same as I read the book I ask someone who read it first before I read it myself... God bless you always.

I used to read like that, too! I get so impatient with how the story is going to end that I go to the after a couple of chapters. Then I kinda got tired with the flipping, and sometimes they mention something at the end that you don't know yet so you get big question marks. I learned to be patient, then. That, and to read faster. :)
