It is hard to imagine some people host a web site with a dial - up connection

From a news article, there is a female university professor, she host her school website by updating the information, and make modification to class notes by using her dial - up connection at home. It was take forever to do it. Since she was living at a rural area, where broadband internet wasn't available yet. It was hard to imagine how slow that uploading process work at her home. She probably has to wait a whole day to get all the materials updated. I just wonder would Clearwire available in rural area too? Since clearwire adopted the new technology on WiMax, it reached far and even rural areas might be able to receive the signal too.

I would hate to have to anything serious on the internet with a dial up connection. to me it would not even be worth it. I had DSL after I had dial up and found it to be so much nicer. I would never want to have dial up again.

Dial up should be a dinosaur right now. We can always adapt to the new technology. I believe clearwire can reach the rural area as they claim to be. Also, satellite internet will be available everywhere. Just the cost will be a little bit higher.
