Finally my myLot rating reaches 50..!!

I know many people have crossed it in short amount of time as compared to me, but I want to know, for what exactly the rating is used... I mean, can it help me to get more out of myLot or my earning potential will increase?? So, what is it??

1 thing I know is that high rating enables you to paste links in your discussion. we cannot paste any links unless we have 500 ratings. (I have to type the URL. So much pain especially when the URL is long)..
