The cold is here

Last week, it rained 5 days straight here in southern Virginia. I have never been a huge fan of fall/winter. I'm a summer baby, therefore I have always preferred the sun, warmth and summer! For the past few years, it has been getting cold later in the year like around November. This year... my have the tables turned! I was standing outside earlier and even though it's just been chilly.. I felt like I couldn't bear it!! It was ridiculous. I just know that I have to definitely stock up on warm clothes and pray that it won't be a brutal winter!!

Autumn, season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, no please do not start to call it cold yet, just enjoy the beauty of the changing leaf colours, here in UK it is quite spectacular. I cannot imagine you really have any rain there, I mean not like here, where some years it starts raining one day in November and stops on another day in March! And mud becomes a way of life!

OMG! It rains that long there?? I could not imagine. I would be miserable. I do like the fall colors.. the changing leaves.. I do NOT like the brisk winds that seem to cut through you and the frosty air where it hurts to breathe in..

You know its just what you are used to, I'm in sandals unless there is actually snow on the ground, thought I would melt when I first went to anywhere hot

LOL wow. I stopped wearing sandals last month! It is pretty warm today.. in my opinion.. but it was cold this morning. I actually have my oscillating fan going right now.. so it's not too bad.

I have to admit that I like the changes that we face during autumn, but I'm really not a big fan of the really hot weather. That said, I am too hoping that we don't have a brutal winter this year. I really didn't think I was going to make it through the winter last year because of the fact that we had so many different snow storms and there were so many cold temperatures. Our wallets would really like to have a mild winter this year.

Haha you're right on the money thing. Especially people who have gas... I know their heating bill eats them alive...

I think it's going to be a cold one again this year, too. We hadn't had snow in a few years (heavily) before last year. Last year, we really got it!! Almost like blizzard-like. I am hoping we don't get barricaded in lol.

I'm an out door person so i prefer sun that being drench in rain. Rain depress me and i hate the fact that when it rain you have to stay at home or to get wet and compete with others in getting your self a ride. When it rain you have to spend much than regular days.

I'm not really too fond of rain, either. Except when I am bored and doing nothing that day anyway and I plan to stay in the house. I love thunderstorms, too. But, rain, I can do without!

LOL The only thing I like about winter... is the cozy feeling that I get. And I love hot chocolate!! lol

NO! Im not one that likes cold weather because all it does for you is keep you trapped in the house and while you there you sick,so if i could move somewhere thats was always warm then i would be just fine LOL!

I like being laid up... that's the only thing I can say I do like about the cold.
