Definitely bad.If one texts while driving his care will change away from driving and this can cause serious accidents. We must give prior importance to others life also.I fit urgent to text the message ,he/she can stop the vehicle and can text and then can proceed in his/her way.I think that is the right thing. And I'm sure no one can have any harm due to this.

Personally, I usually get mad when I am in a public transpo and saw this driver taking a phonecall or even texting someone else. Of course, even those in private vehicles would not tolerate such act for a main reason of jeopardizing their lives. Once you are on the driver seat you have to be aware that there's lives under your care, not only yours. So definitely..it's bad.

In my city, it's against the law to text/talk while driving. You can use a hands free device to talk, but there's nothing you can do about texting. I saw a video one day about a couple in a parking lot. The girl was walking through the parking lot while her boyfriend was driving through it. They were texting each other the whole time. It was too late for the boyfriend to react and when he looked up from his phone, he hit his girlfriend and killed her. A cold hard reality in which texting while driving is so wrong.

Doing anything really while driving and not paying attention on the road not only puts your life in danger but all others as well.

texting while driving is bad. accidents may occur and road safety is at stake. you may not read the exact text or reply to it properly because you are focusing on driving and texting.

There's an episode of Mythbusters where they compared driving drunk and driving while talking on the phone. Both are bad, texting while driving is probably the same.

You'd have to be some kind of idiot to think its a good thing! Anything that distracts you from concentrating on manouvering your car safely is dangerous, selfish and stupid. Same goes for reading, putting on make-up, turning round to talk to passengers in the back, leaning over to hug/kiss a passenger etc... but, on any day, you're likely to see someone doing those things - all the more reason why you need to be alert.

Texting and driving is not a good combination, as it is very dangerous. You can't watch what you are doing and text at the same time. Texting while driving has caused serious accidents, and those that continue to text and drive, are just asking for trouble. I don't text, but even if I did, I sure wouldn't do it while driving. Take care, and have a very good day.

Texting while driving is bad! Earlier this year, my class had to go to a mock car crash and see how bad an accident can be and how officers respond to these kind of accidents. The topic this year was texting while driving. We were told that while texting, our reflexes are much slower, and that texting behind the wheel is almost as dangerous as driving while intoxicated. Looking at your phone takes your eyes off the road, which is very dangerous. This is why some cities have made texting and driving illegal; some places don't even allow you to have a cell phone in one's vehicle. I've been put in dangerous situations, just from being in a car with my godfather, who texts while driving. He's cut people off while changing lanes, forgotten to use his turn signal, and has almost rearended countless vehicles, just because he was texting. My aunt, however, will read a text while at a red light and have someone else respond to it. There are many reasons not to text and drive, and some organizations, such as Thnk1st, warn you of these dangers, and have people tell their stories of misfortune caused by texting while driving.
