I hold christian beliefs, but its hard to remain true to your religion when your teachers are shoving the theory of evolution down your throat. I believe that God exists and that he is the creator of all things, but there are times when I wonder does the theory of evolution exist. What do you guys think? Do you belive in Darwin's theory?

Evolution does not suggest we came from monkeys, you have failed to first understand what you criticise all the best urban

When I was a student, my teacher always taught us that the theory of evolution has scientific basis. It's true that there are many evidences which could support the theory of evolution, but there are still many questions about the theory of evolution which still have no persuasive answers. So at present I really don't know whether Darwin's theory is correct or not. Maybe we'll never know the origins of species.

The evidence for evolution is overwhelmingly good, pepper moth and the fossil record of horses being clear examples As is the new species of fish observed to have evolved in Lake Victoria recently. It is no challenge to Christianity all the best urban

Evolution can be seen in the laboratory with short-lived animals. When pressures are introduced, they adapt to those pressures until they become an entirely different species that can no longer breed with the original. Evolution is a "theory" in the same way that gravity is a theory. Fallen off the Earth lately? Don't worry about it. You can always just believe that god set the process of evolution in place as another part of his miraculous creation.

I think it has nothing to do do with Christianity or any religious belief for that matter. Evolution is theory which is overwhelmingly proven over the years. As above said the example of horses and other species. I have actually no problem to admit that we human have evolved from other creatures. Rather the evolution taught me All Mighty has no hand behind creation or anything else. It is a natural process. But If you believe in God you should stand firm on it. However Evolution doesn't contradict with god that much. Don't be conservative while trusting God rather be flexible and accept the change.

It's perfectly fine to question. Personally, I believe in Creation, but I think if evolution were true, I would not mind. I think God would have still had His hand over the process. I do NOT think we are a product of chance. I just cannot wrap my brain around that. An instance I love: My sister believes in evolution and she was looking through a National Geographic magazine and said, "You know, I can't believe that some people don't believe in evolution. I mean there's so much proof!" And her boyfriend was like, "What proof?" And she kind of held out the magazine and showed him this humanoid skeleton they found and he said that it didn't mean there was a LINK, just that there could have been other creatures that wandered the earth that looked like humans. There's nothing that links us to anything. They can find as many skeletons as they want, but whose to say they evolved into humans? Evolution is just as much of a faith based belief as Creation, so, PERSONALLY, I believe in Creation.

You need not be scared of losing your religious beliefs over this theory and your teachers. It's still a THEORY, and there are problems with it. If you know your faith well, and in your heart believe it to be true, lessons such as this shouldn't be able to shake your beliefs. Learn your faith, and stand strong in it. It wouldn't hurt to also pray to God to help you see things clearly. Wish you well in your studies.
