Oh my, your appetizers sure look appetizing! Makes me wanna go fly off to Chile for a visit as well. Hang in there, Tina. It's a challenge, I know, but fretting only makes it worse. Try to find something to distract you from the pain, worries. I used to listen to Christian music all day long (& still do) when all I could do was lay in bed, do some light reading, & work on other hobbies when I can. How's the wound now? Just to add, when things are really rough, remember Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." It's helped me tremendously, even when near impossible during painful times.

No one can blame you for feeling upset by them; just take it easy, and head quickly towards your safe place once the ground starts shaking. I haven't yet met anyone who's so inured by earthquakes that it doesn't unsettle them at all, especially by the large ones.

I wholeheartedly agree. Still, whatever the group's decision is, that's what we go by. It can get burdensome (financially & physically) on the host if s/he has to prepare food for quite a number of people, so dining at home seldom happens.
